I took an elderly 70 year old filipina in to their free clothes area today around 430 pm who helps her family with over $400 every month in money and sometimes over $700 when she sends packages to help the poor and needy in her family. Today she was accused of being SELFISH and she was bullied b…
We could not be happier. Every staff member has treated our little one with love and comfort. Beyond the Spanish curriculum, they offer a supportive and nurturing environment that has allowed our little one to thrive.
My 2 1/2 year-old son attend the Pineapple School at the Stone Oak location, 20615 Huebner Rd. This school is amazing! Such kind, loving staff and teachers and an authentic cultural experience for the students. Everyone from the front desk staff (Adriana and Jessie) to the head of the school (Ms. Haydee) is warm, friendly and invested in the education and well-being of their students. My son's teacher, Ms. Silvana and her aide, Ms. Liz are wonderful with him; he goes to school excited and leaves school happy every day. He is learning so much, too. Since he started attending the school (around the age of 2), he quickly began speaking in complete sentences, and his English vocabulary and pronunciation has skyrocketed. Because it is a Spanish immersion school, my husband and I had been concerned that maybe his English would suffer, but it has actually been the opposite. My son is now referring to things in Spanish and he loves sing his Spanish songs around the house. When we drop him off at school, we feel like we are leaving him with family; the teachers and staff are so nurturing and supportive. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school!
This facility is UNPROFESSIONAL. Located close by Lackland AFB, this location takes advantage of military members and don't provide the childcare services they are seeking. If a member PAYS for a service, that service should be provided! Half the children attending is the Staff's! It shouldn't matter if a child is there 12 hrs or 30 mins, that service PAID FOR should be provided!
My child is 7.5 months and loves being in an environment that stimulates her to interact with other children. The teachers give constant attention to their students and, even at this age, have set activities and plans with what to learn and how to learn it throughout the day. I'm convinced that by watching other children and doing the baby exercises promoted in class, my daughter pushed herself to crawl and is now on the verge of walking before 8 months. I'm happy to put my review in for this place as Outstanding. Well worth waiting for a spot here.
The Pineapple School in Stone Oak is AMAZING. My children learned so much. The curriculum is well thought out and they allow the parents to see it. Weekly emails are sent out to inform the parents what their children will be learning and doing during the week. If anything out of the norm happens during the day, the director herself gives you a call. This is hands down best school in my opinion. They treated us like family and very respectful. My children are more advanced then other children their age and are bilingual. Love, Love, Love.
What a high quality environment with incredible staff. This place is incredible, and our daughter literally runs to her classroom daily. I couldn't be happier as a mother. She is learning so much; the refinement of this school cannot be compared to any place in Texas. I am so grateful that our daughter has this one in a lifetime opportunity to attend this school. Worth the wait!!!
The Pineapple School Stone Oak is so much more than a daycare and preschool for our two kiddos - they are part of our family. We cannot say thank you enough for the amazing care and education of our children.
Beyond learning Spanish, children are learning in a project approach that offers context and application of the skills the children are acquiring. The teachers are talented in many areas such as creating art, music, dancing, costumes, etc. An environment of colors, language, movement, and sounds is a wonderful beginning to lifelong learning. Now, all that is needed is for me to learn more words and phrases in Spanish. Maybe, my grandchildren can teach me!
We have two children and have tried several day cares/preschools including Montessori. I find Giant Steps to have the best curriculum and most competent staff. The teachers are certified and have bachelor's degrees, which speaks to understanding of child development and learning. The owner (Jennifer) is also a teacher and highly involved in everything from daily curriculum to changes in the classroom environment. The classroom environment changes monthly so that they children do not become bored. Jennifer researches extensively the different types of activities and learning curriculum to provide the best possible outcomes for students. The owner of the preschool actually knows the first and last name of my child as well as any issues he may have. I could not boast this of any other preschool programs we attended.
