We have eaten at The Old Alsatian Steakhouse twice now and both times we have been impressed by the wait staff and the excellent food. The calamari is superb. They go out of their way to insure that you have everything just right. We definitely will be going back!
I just love this restaurant. The food is great, service is superb and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in Italy They also have a great happy hour crowd and a beautiful bar area.

From Business: Zocca offers contemporary Italian cuisine, fine wine, and cocktails at one of the most scenic spots on San Antonio’s renowned Riverwalk, where towering cypress trees shade the restaurant’s riverside patio. Zocca’s casually elegant interior of burnished copper, rich wood, and handsome onyx panels creates a relaxed, welcomin…
I just moved to Bulverde from Los Angeles and missed the great choices of ethnic food there. My neighbor took me to John The Greek one day for lunch and now I?m hooked. Although it?s a drive for me to get there on the slow 281, I don?t care. Everything is fresh and cooked with love.

I visited Dough's in 3/16/12 after seeing it on diners, drive ins, and dives w/Guy Fieri! My only complaint was waiting so long for a table but it was well worth the wait! The does and staff were amazing. I will definitely be vising again! Ask for Dustin he's the best waiter in the place;)
I love Pasha! The only time I was ever disappointed with Pasha was during the time they were building their Vineyard location. (The portions shrank!) Now, Pasha's back on point as the best Mediterranean restaurant in town. The naan bread they serve you for free is amazing! It's always hot and fr…

I been several times ant the food is always fresh, not to mention very good. Service is always top notch and the staff always friendly. The place looks much better since the fire next door forced them to remodel.

We have been there for many times, but we had the worse service ever yesterday. The damn guy (Waiter A) greeting us when we stepped in and led us to a table. We have three adults and only got 2 menus. Then 10 mins after, we only had bread and we were not asked for any drinks. Ten more mins, Waiter A came and we asked for the water and told him we are ready for order. Then he wrote our orders and left. Guess what, we were waiting for 30 mins for the meals. During our waiting, he (Waiter A) never came to us and asked if we need something. (People who came in after us and were served by the other waiter (Waiter B) have had food to eat already.) Finally, another waiter (Waiter C) walked to us and brought meals to us, but those were not what we ordered. I remember this Waiter C who served us last time and he always smiles and greets to us friendly. Then he (Waiter C) substituted to the DANM Waiter A to serve us and immediately said sorry to us then he placed our orders again. (So, what was wrong with that DANM Waiter A? He asked for the orders and wrote it down. After 30-mins waiting, there was the wrong food. At this moment, some people who came in after us and were served by Waiter B have finished their food and been ready to leave ). The people sat next table served by Waiter A and told to us that he is HORRIBLE for the service and orders. DANM, what a lucky day! Then Waiter C treated us quick and right. FIVE mins later, again just FIVE mins, We had our meal ready on the table. The food are always good. People are always nice, except that Waiter A. The funnest thing is that, when I am ready to pay the check and left my card with the bill on the table, now the F***ING Waiter A came to me and want to take it from me (This is the ONLY TIME he came to us during the visit. HEY, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, WAITER A? YOU NEVER SERVED US AND WANTED THE BILL AT THE END. What the F?). Of course, I handed the bill to Waiter C and made sure the tips goes to him, not Waiter A. DANM, I would not pay any cents if the waiters share the tips, but Waiter C is so nice as we met last time.As I mentioned, the food are always good and the service as well, except this Waiter A. I would be surprise, if he would not be FIRED next time I visit.
This restaurant has quality food and excellent customer service. The wait staff is courteous and very friendly. Turquoise Turkish Grill is probably the best Mediterranean food I have had in San Antonio. Upon moving here from Chicago, I noticed shortly that the dining choices in SA are not too diverse. There are a lot of cantinas and burger joints. The portions are also very large. I was able to share a portion with my boyfriend and still have leftovers.
First up: The food. I had the Meat Combo & Moroccan Hummus. Liked the whole garbanzo bean style of this dish. Mildly spicy, nothing overly strong, pretty darn tasty. The 3 kinds of meat were delicious--have to say their chicken was the best of the 3. Lamb sausage #2. Nice marinades & again mildly spicy....pretty good & on a lot of fluffy saffroned rice!Next up: Service. Extremely disappointed in the strongest terms I can say here. I was watching my watch so these times are accurate. It took them 15 minutes just to come over and give me a menu. Narrow place, and I was sitting straight across from the open kitchen where all could see each other. 15 minutes to get a menu! There's just no excuse for that in my book. A couple next table over sat for longer just to get their order taken. They, and I, were both looking at our watches & I at every waiter/waitress who just walked on by---oblivious to the fact that two tables were being ignored. The owner, who sat me at the table, even told me she forgot about me. Huh? Where did I go? Small, narrow place....table with one guy and no food...how hard is it to miss that? When three tables around me who all arrived after I had been sitting there for some time (5 people per table) started getting their appetizers before I even had my food, that's when I lifted up my arms to a waitress to say "what's with this?" Worst part yet? 45 minutes. Yep, from the time I sat down, it took them 45 minutes to bring my food to the table. 45 minutes. My waiter didn't seem to sense it was a big deal to wait 45 minutes for one's food. No customary bread offering to tide one over during such a long wait......nothing but water. Even with that, there was a long time my glass was empty.Sad thing is, the owner, a waitress and a waiter were all walking by my table, and my neighbor's many-many times, and said nothing. My waiter was no where around to bring me my check, nor was I in a mood to wait 15 more minutes just to get it. At checkout, the owner did say "thank you for being patient". Hey, a complementary appetizer, a little basket of bread, a free dessert would have made it all seem worthwhile. Worthwhile to wait that 45 minutes to get my food. Will I go here again? Yes, one more time. All new places have their opening jitters. After all, the food was good. If the service isn't any better, that's the last they'll see of me. Warning: just remember people, if you have someplace else to go after eating here, plan ahead and give yourself a good hour for your lunch---driving time not included.
