Tucked away in an out of the way Gallery is probably one of my favorite paintings....William-Adolphe Bouguereau's "L'admiration"..... I had to practically hunt it down myself whe the young lady at the information desk didn't have a clue what I was talking about but when I mentioned "Cupid" she smiled and pointed me right to the Gallery where I spent a good hour just enjoying Bouguereau's fine painting. I recently acquired my Fine Arts Degree in Painting after I retired and the young whipper-snappers in classed made fun of me because I love the Romantics and Classical Painting. Their loss I still say, The atmosphere is quiet and conducive to contemplation. The Museum staff are friendly and helpful. Take a few hours during your trip to enjoy one of the finest works of Art outside Paris.

This place is great. I have a 5 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. We were down in San Antonio for a wedding and needed something fun for the kids to so we came here. We are from Austin where the Childrens museum just plain sucks. This was fun, pretty, lots to do and even my husband and I had a good time. The staff was friendly. Other reviews have mentioned that it gets loud and that is true but it is a "childrens museum" not a baby museum and kids are just loud in general. We will visit again for sure! Love it!
First time here!!! It was soooo awesome. Smaller than I expected, but the History.... just soaking it all in still. Right across from the River Walk with lots of Dining, Bars and Shopping. Can't wait to come back!
Good place to catch Pokemon. Low key I think they paid for a lickatongue spawner. An added bonus is that it is free to walk on the grounds!
My boys had a blast. There were lots of activities for the whole family. Our favorite was the grocery store on the bottom level.
Haven't been in years but every trip was awesome. I hear that hasn't changed at all.
Very nice. Lot's of great displays.
