I found out about Voodoo by word of mouth. I was looking to get a tattoo to memorialize the passing of my 17 year old niece, nothing too big or elaborate. I went into Voodoo and spoke to Dave who drew a design for me exactly along the lines of what I was looking for. Fortunately for me I was there on a weekday when they had just opened, Dave took care of me on the spot. He was very friendly and I was super impressed with the stores cleanliness. Since then 2 of my sons, my husband and my sister visiting from Europe have all had tat's done at Voodoo. In fact another one of my son's will be getting a tat done there today. This is a great Tattoo parlour with very talented, friendly staff. If you're looking to get a tattoo, this is the place. Oh yes,I forgot to menton the outstanding prices!
I went to Voodoo Tattoos yesterday for what is "supposed" to be my last tattoo. I took in a picture of what I thought I wanted it to look like. It's is a heart with my my wife's name in it and some more writing above it. Sketch looked at it and ask if I would be ok with him changing it up some to make it look better. He made some changes to it and made it look freaking awesome! It's the best tattoo I ever had. I'm not planning on getting anymore tattoos, but if I do, I will be going back to Sketch at Voodoo Tattoos. By the way....the tattoo is about 4 or 5 times the size of the last tattoo I got at Platinum and cost the same. Anybody wants to see a pic of it, drop me a email at firstname.lastname@example.org

I have had countless tatts from Wero and they have all been great. He makes you feel super comfortable and they don't hurt very much, it's actually kind of relaxing. He doesn't have a heavy hand at all. very sterile with equipment unwrapped in front of you. I would recommend him to anyone!

If your looking for a good place to get tattoos or piercings, then Voodoo Tattoos is the perfect place to go! I made a 2 hr drive (from La Grange) to get my brow pierced bc i've heard good things about this place. The drive was worth it and all the good things i've heard were true! I was greeted with smiles as soon as i stepped thru the door. I felt so welcomed. The guy that pierced me made sure i felt comfortable and relaxced before the piercing. It was so quick and painless. The whole process went so well that i let him give me a monroe piercing right after! Both piercings for only $20! I had my tongue, nose, and belly button peirced @ different places around where i live and they were all over $50/ea! I even talked my friend into getn her brow pierced. I recommend this place to anyone! Everyone there is sooo friendly and the service is great!! I'm going back as soon as i get a chance!

I went last weekend to get my name, in arabic, tattooed. I had the artwork but theseare symbols and I only had a picture on my phone. Went to get a quote from this shop and this was my first time here. We walked in and talked to Chino and showed him the picture. Gave me a quote, looked at his book and got him to draw it up for me. Let me just say, I normally hate tattoo artists. They generally act like they are doing you a favor by doing your tattoo and just generally act rude. There are lots of guys in this shop, and they all are nice and welcoming. The shop itself is clean and the music they play is not usually horrible. It was a little loud for me, but, it didn't torture me like it usually does. He did my tattoo and did a great job. I was very, very pleased. I went back this past weekend to get him to add some detail to make the tattoo more feminine. I told him what I want and that I didn't have artwork and just do his own art. He added a heart with some colored bubbles around the heart. I just love the whole tattoo. I can't stop ranting about it. I love it so much I am going to go back and get another tattoo next weekend. Three tattoos in three weeks....he must be GREAT. Highly, highly recommend this shop. Highly, highly recommend this artist!!!!! He is GREAT

Aside from the cleanliness, the experience was miserable. For 1 tattoo about palm-size, and just in grayscale, it took hours because the artist obviously just didn't want to do it. We had to fight the whole time and still longer when I finally got through to the artist - who didn't want to do my origional design even though I brought her the artwork.
There is nowhere to park also , so good luck with that.
Lazy! And nothing but a disappointment.

Okay, I was looking to get a large backpiece done for about the past 6 months as has been my tradition to get new ink once a year. Knowing I would be visiting San Antonio I started researching places. I actually narrowed my search down to 3 parlors (Rings Of Fire, Pae's Open Earth, and Voodoo Tattoo). We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and immediately went into Rings Of Fire Tattoo. I was first put off by the atmosphere which just wasn't my style. My girlfriend had the same feeIing. I showed the artist my design which I brought with me and asked how much it would cost to get it inked across my back. I was told it would be between $700 and $800 which was what I was expecting since it was such a large piece, so Shaggy then went to get my design properly sized. When he returned 30 minutes later, he informed me that the price would be closer to $1500 or $1600. WOW! Quite a jump!
We then decided to leave and get some comparitive pricing(which you should always do when getting a tattoo) and took our search into Voodoo Tattoo. When we first walked in we were greeted by Mike. From the first handshake to the final bandaging, this was nothing less than a great tattooing experience. I let him know that I was looking to get work done in the next two days and I did not want to waste his time or mine. He gave me the price I was looking for. Very professional shop. Backpiece is better than I ever could have imagined, absolute perfection. I cannot rave enough about Voodoo Tattoo! All the artists there were too cool, clean shop, simply a great experience.
