I first want to say I am very upset. I went Domingo Vara chevrolet in san antonio tx. After deciding what truck I wanted with what Tony Vasquez would add to it they ranned my credit and agreed that the max amt I could pay monthly would be $780 on a 2016 red tahoe with no down payment. Later appeared Jesse asst helper stating that they had put the wrong price on the truck and that would cause my mo. payment to up to $830 not knowing my interest rate or who would finance it. He offered another truck something way different from what we had chosen at the beginning. This is the worst experience I've ever had buying a car! How can you offer someone something and then come back and tell me you all made a mistake on the price. That is not professional at all. I recommend no one going there. They tend to make false promise and make you pay more than what you can afford. No manager came around to even apologize. I really wanted to purchase the truck but after this experience I will not buy at Vara Chevrolet. I rather go somewhere else where they will listen to what I want and they know to do the right thing. Horrible experience. Service department needs to be checked Mr. David Vara. I usually never write reviews but I have to warn people about service department. Two weeks my truck was there, in those two weeks Kai Dehoyos never called us never answered the phone and never kept us informed about anything. Manager "Vincent" I'm sorry but he's just as lost as she is. So ridiculously unprofessional and unorganized service department. Never going there again. Even if I'm stranded across the street I will never step foot there again. Warning people just stick to freedom or ancira Chevrolet. Vara is horrible.
Just purchased a used car from Vara. Jeanette Pendas did an outstanding job! She went over and beyond to assist me. I inquired on a Sunday, dealership was closed but I still received a phone call from her. During the whole process I felt absolutely NO pressure. I have purchased vehicles before online and this was the best by far, signing paperwork I did have to wait a while but I will def. be back for another purchase in the future. Thank you everyone at vara!
The staff at Vara is awesome they provide me with really great service and went all out to make the purchase process an easy one. When all was said and done I ended up with a price and a car that fit my budget, keep up the great work you made me a loyal Vara customer.

Vara is the best place I have ever bought a car! Everyone was very nice, answered all my questions and work with me to find the perfect car. I can understand why so many of my friends had recommended Vara to me they know how to treat a customer and make sure they are happy.
I have had many good experiences with Vara in the past but the best may have been when I recently upgraded to a new Silverado. Not only was I treated with the great customer service that they always seem to give me but I got a monthly payment below what I was looking for so now I’ll have about and extra 100 dollars a month to put towards other stuff.
They worked with me to find a car that I could afford that would be reliable and get better gas mileage then my old car. After working with Manny and some of the staff going over my options I settled on a 2010 Malibu it’s the perfect car at the perfect price. The paper work was done quickly and I was on the road in no time.
I have been using Vara as my families place for service for awhile now so when me and my wife decide we need something with a little more room Vara was our first and pretty much our only choice. Just like the service department the sales staff puts the customer first, they got us a deal that worked in our budget and now we have a great traverse that easily fix the whole family and all our stuff.
Vara Chevy is a great place to do business. I have been using the service department at Vara for years so when it came time for me to buy another vehicle I knew I would be treated like family. The buying process was smooth and easy like I expected and I got a great price on a new truck. Thanks again for everything your ongoing outstanding customer service has made me a customer for life!!
I was planning on shopping around but almost right away I knew I had found the right place everyone on the staff was super friendly and informative. They worked with me to get the perfect car for me at a price I could afford, thank you so much for all your help with the purchase and keep up the great work.
Everyone was very helpful and willing to do what they needed to get my husband and I into a new car. They staff really took time with us to answer all our questions and made sure we understood all the options. This was by far the best service we have ever received when buying a car. Great work!!
Dishonest sales practice, lie to get you in the door and then pass you off from person to person to try and close deal. I strongly conveyed my interest and expectations so as not to waste my time or theirs over the phone with internet sales person. I further expressed that to her in an email again asking her not waste my time and taking the steps to provide her with the vin numbers of the vehicles we liked. She was very empathetic saying that they could help us and meet our needs. She said quote, "I have already gotten with the Sales Manager and went over everything with him, and we will definitely be able to help you. We have never lost a customer because of price." This is the only reason that I took my family to their dealership, with the understanding on both sides that no wasted time or back-handedness would occur. What I got instead, was being passed from her to three other people for almost 3 hours, with me having to explain to each person what I was looking for. In turn I got every person trying to sell me the same vehicle at the same price in a different way. Even after speaking with the Sales Manager and for the third time explaining the situation and him saying he could get us down to $575-$600 on a payment. I get my intelligence insulted with the finance guy coming and trying to explain credit and rates to me. Then have him offer me the vehicle at $47,000 with the same exact price not a thing changed from the moment I originally spoke with them, and a payment of $749.
When letting David Vara the Gm aware of their sales practice and what happened in an email. He proceeded to call me and leave a very condescending voice mail saying, he's sure I'm a smart person but math is math and sometimes people just don't understand it. When I called him back and spoke to him, there was no apology. He just told me the same thing that sometimes people don't understand why deals don't work out because of the math, and maybe I should just go some where else that they have plenty of customers.
I have a degree in finance and have been in Banking, Mortgage, and Finance for 11 years. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an organization.
