It's shocking that this place is still opened.

When this place first opened here in the early 80's, it had the potential to take over the fast mexican food market in this town. Great portions at a fair price (now, Chachos seems to be quickly catching up).

Prices have gone up (as they should with time), however the service has gone downhill big time. The order screw-ups are at 75% with no apology or some sort of compensation. They simply don't care if you come back again. I asked a manager why there were so many drive thru window screw-ups. He said that's where they put the new trainees. Way to care for your customers, cabana. Have them drive ALL THE WAY HOME, Hungry after work just to get pissed off at only getting 2 chicken tacos and a bowl of beans instead of the 5 fajita tacos they ordered.

Many a time, about 5 years ago I'd order at the drive thru, get home to find my order was wrong. When I called there was no apology, no compensation for the long drive, and, most of the time I would get someone who did not speak english.

If you're drunk or starving, this place will seem normal to you. If you want real mexican food, find a local who will take you to their favorite mexican dive. Those are the true gems. My fave is Las Brazas on Vance Jackson. Very good, cheap and always consistent. It's worth getting off the car and walking in to pick up to-go orders.
