We woke up on Sunday morning and quickly realized that our AC wasn't running correctly. I immediately got on Google and started to call AC repair companies. I call the top 3 that showed up on my google search. I scheduled an appoint with all 3. 1 company said they couldn't be out until Mon, another said 12-4 (but tried to talk me into a Monday appt) Service First said 1-3. Service first called me at 12:30 and was at our house before 1. Joseph arrived and he was HAPPY to be there on a Sunday. He quickly looked at the unit and identified the problem, eh let me know that it appeared to be a quick fix. It literally took him 10 min to fix it because he had the part on his truck! He also inspected the rest if the system for us. Awesome experience, great price. I will definitely use them in the future. Also, the individual at their dispatch (her name is Raina) was friendly and pleasant. Thank you for providing excellent customer service!
Hello, I would like to write a response to the hold on to your wallet review below. In response the customer called Service First after he couldn't get a hold of the company that installed his warranty equipment after hours and wanted his equipment repaired. The tech advised the customer that a warranty product had to be returned to the manufacture and warranty paperwork had to be processed then the manufacture would replace the part under warranty. This process takes travel time as well as time paid to the tech and the fee was explained to the customer. It was late at night and the tech was able to get the customer cooling within minutes of arriving to the customers house. The customer paid our fee , signed an invoice , and was aware of our cost to perform this task. I don't believe the cost for providing this type of service at night was unreasonable and I felt a response was necessary.
Middle of August and the AC decided to check out.....again. Had fantastic service last time with Service First, so called them again--the gal I spoke to was almost apologetic that it would be 1& ½ hours to get a tech out on a Friday night...I was thrilled it would be so quick--hottest days of summer so far, so I'm sure they're swamped, AND he was actually early & got us cooled off in no time at all. On top of everything else there was no charge since they had been out recently--100% covered under THEIR warranty! These folks are very straightforward & charge an honest price--my total charge the for the original call was less than would expect for an emergency call-out, let alone parts & labor!
I never received an itemized bill and i was promised a refund after my warranty A/C part was verified. However i was overly charged for the service performed on my A/C. Then afterward the so called owner, wrote an boogie invoice. They charged me $125.00 fir paperwork on a $45.00 part. ....WoW so dont use them unless you loved bring robbed.
Joseph, Johnnie and Jack were all GREAT. My husband and I were impressed immediately with Joseph's thoroughness, professionalism and attention to detail. He even removed a dead rat from our attic for us (!!!!!) and befriended our overly protective huge dog. These guys were on time, quick to respond and overall went above and beyond for us. We have a very old house and NOTHING was 'to code' with our old unit. They updated everything, even special ordering us a new flue pipe and getting into the attic to install it without raising the price whatsoever. They also replaced all the pieces with previous mold for no extra charge. I will recommend Service First to everyone I know and I'm so thankful I found them.
My daughter called this AC company for me because our ac went out in the hottest part of the summer July. I noticed that the house was hot and she called Service First Air Conditioning and Heating and they came out in the middle of the night . No other service would do that. I was under a home warranty contract and I wanted their opinion about my ac and they gave it to me. So then I had to call my home warranty people and they sent out their contractors and no one wanted to do the job. One company said it was the coil and the other company said it was the compressor. I was getting the run around. Service First was straight to the point of what it was. They called me everyday to check on me because they were concerned. I stayed in the hotel for a week until my home warranty wanted to do something. but they did nothing for me. So I canceled my home warranty and called Jack at Service First Air condition and Heating and they came out on a Saturday right away and I replaced the inside and outside unit. I will never call another company except for them. I can't tell you how good they are. They are the best ever!!!! I always do my homework when finding a company and I am glad my daughter found them in my stressful moment. Thank you Jack and Johnny and the rest of the crew you are the best. ever. !!!!!!!

My AC was out when I got home late from work last night so I googled for a AC company and Service First popped up so thought I would give them a try. I am always skeptical of companies I dont know but I was truly desperate! I was really pleased with Johnny, the dispatcher who took the time to explain what may be wrong with my AC. The Technician who came to service my AC today was Joseph and he was really nice and helpful! I had thought i would need an entire unit replacement and he was able to fix my unit instead I would recommend Joseph to anyone who asked! Thank you Service First!
So, after not having A/C for a day and a half, found the number for Service First from Google. Called them up, was quoted 89 dollar service fee plus whatever parts and the person would be here in between 6-8. Did not really care about the cost, just needed the A/C so I agreed. Not even 15 minutes later, Joseph from Service First comes ringing my door bell and startled my wife and myself from how fast it was. He was very courteous and wanted to get straight to helping us. Showed him my outside unit, took him all of 1 minute to figure out what it was. Replaced my capacitor, got my A/c up and running, did not charge me for the service fee and lowered the quote for the capacitor he put in, and was done in all of about 15 minutes. He was actually here and gone before the time we were quoted that they would even arrive in. Very good job.

Big Big Mistake. I chose them because of good reviews from another city search page. even though against my better judgement as they were not a BBB member. Well like allot of the reviews I read before calling them they were on time and Jack the lead tech. was personable and knowledgeable. That were it ends. They took all day mush of it waiting for this or that. Bottom line they claimed it was a fan which after paying them 450.00 I find out today using a single ac tech person it was a fried circuit board that
controls the air flow into the house itself allowing switching from ac to ac + fan.
My fault for being nice and trusting as the fan looked good to me and although they said everything was good to go at around 5PM i still expressed concerns as to the fact the air coming from the vents although cold seemed very very faint. Their tech. Jessie said that's normal and that i needed to wait 10 minutes then they took off. I also was a jerk for signing the e paper to give them money as it really contained very very little information as to material and labor or really anything of useful value.After suffering to heat around 88 degrees I called them but got a wise guy saying well you really should have gotten riid of that old system but wouls see if they could send a tech. sometime in afternoon.
Folks i now know there is a laser like pointing device that a tech could have used to check air flow coming out of vents. Folks the paper work should include parts and labor and warranty information and exactly what the heck they claimed to be the cause of the problem before the fixed it naming what they did to fix it.
Stay away fron the nice personalities and claims of service ESPECIALLY FROM SERVICE FIRST AC REPAIR
AMAZING SERVICE!! I am so happy that I found Service First! Not only did they show up after hours (9pm) w/in 20min of me calling them, they diagnosed & fixed the problem w/in 5min of looking at the unit. It's cold & I saved a TON of money choosing Service First instead of going with someone who told me another part was broken. Jack gave great service, fast service, and WE ARE ONE HAPPY FAMILY with this Texas HEAT!! I completely recommend Service First and they did a hell of a job. It was HOT in my house. Now we can all relax in the COLD COLD AC! Thank you so much!!
3 yrs ago a friend recommended Service first to me and I just love these guys. They are very helpful and knowledge. Omar took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Most tech just want to do their job and leave, but the techs from Service First educate you and make sure the job is done right the first time. When I have a heating or air condition problem this company is the first only company I call. I wound recommend them to anyone. GOOD JOB GUYS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!
This was our first experience with Service First and their technician Jaime definitely made it a positive one. We called late on Sunday evening, he arrived within the hour and he was very professional. Jamie was able to locate and resolve the problem quickly. I would recommend him by name to my family and friends.
Jaime was very prompt in coming out to our house. He was VERY professional, knowledgable, kind, and understanding of our circumstances. He finished in a timely manner and explained what he was doing every step of the way. We would definitely recommend Jaime to anyone needing air conditioning services!
