I had my first visit at the salon on March 30th with Patricia. I was so upset with my hair from previous experience, and after meeting Patricia, I felt confident she would take care of me and she did! I had more compliments on my hair than I have in a long, long time! I can't wait for my next appointment with her, we hit it off from hello!! She is great and knows what's she's talking about and really listens, so happy and thank God I found her!!! Sincerely, Melody

One mile down Dezavala from IH 10 W. Chill, relaxing atmosphere. Reminds me of New York meets Miami in San Antonio.I use different stylist and they always take lead to a thorough consultation and consistent wonderful shampoo with a mask treatments . Cut and blow dry is always amazing and love the Oribe Après Beach Texture Spray. Seperate day spa area was totally relaxing and loved the aromatherapy oil smell throughout. Massage therapist, Heidi gave me best massage I've ever had and the price was so reasonable. One hour for $48. Highly recommend to anybody who values luxury and talent.

Best hair cut ever!
I recently went to Salon David on a recommendation of a friend! From the minute I walked in I felt like I was stepping into an environment of relaxation! The salon looks very clean and modern, the service was excellent. My stylist took their time with my hair and really made sure that it looked good! Their staff is very educated on the latest hair trends and styles. I would highly recommend this salon to any of my friends!
Salon David Escape Spa has a nice, clean and relaxing atmosphere. I'm happy to say the two times I've been there, both the experience and the stylist, Ronnie, were wonderful. I as well as many others, am on a budget, but I consider my visit to Salon David Escape Spa as a well deserved little treat to myself. So, if you're looking for a new place to try out, I highly recommend to start with what I've had done...a great shampoo/conditioning treatment, cut, blowdry and style....Enjoy!

I am new to San Antonio and have been looking for a great place to go for my services. I have found a new place to call home! I made an appointment for a facial and Acrylic nail set. I first had my facial with Sarika. It was so relaxing and she had givin me some really good advice for skincare. I get facials on a regular basis and this is the best one I have had in along time. Sarika really took her time with my skin, I really liked how when I was masking she didnt leave the room. Instead she game me a neck and shoulder massage...almost like an added bonus! She had also asked me if I wanted to add a eyebrow wax, I had totally forgotten they needed to be done! Im happy she wasnt afraid to ask in a polite manner when I needed it! After my facial I was seated in the Spa lounge with some wine and snacks. Pam greeted me after a couple of min. to do my nails. Originally I had wanted a Acrylic set. I had explained to her that I wanted the most natural looking ""fake nails"" i could get, She had reccomended Gel nails in stead of Acrylics because they are healthier for the nails and are more natural looking. I LOVED my new gel nails and I Loved my facial and waxing!!! I have now pre-booked my monthly appointments with both Pam and Sarika! I highly reccomend this spa to everyone!

I have to agree with mcyn about the hair stylists. After Lisa left, I haven't been satisfied with any of the stylists at Salon David. BUT, please give Natalie a try! She does nails and is amazing! I had a manicure with a new type of polish two weeks ago and it still looks fantastic. Also, had a facial with Raquel recently. She is the BEST. My skin looks 100% better. I highly recommend both Natalie and Raquel.

I went to Salon David on recommendation of a friend. The first visit, my hair was cut way too short but was the color I asked with NO red tint in it. The second time, my cut while cute, the color had so much ""copper they said"" - that I looked almost red headed, the one thing I asked NOT to have in my hair. At that point, I changed and went to somone rated higher. They put me with David. BOTH VISITS - my hair was cut so short I could not do anything with it and it again, had RED tint in it. I will not go back. I did however try some of their other things - they give great massages, and Ashley who did my brow waxing and color NEVER LET ME DOWN -she does a fantastic job. Front desk staff so friendly but once you get to the back, don't expect any of the stylist to look at you, much less speak to you.

My first visit to Salon David was to say the least a royal vacation. Once I walked in the door I received so much sincere attention it was ridiculous. I went in for a massage and a hair style. I was offered wine and cheese and escorted to a private room for my massage that was sensational, (my body didn't want to leave the place). After a totally relaxing massage I was brought to my hair stylist, (very kind, interested in what I wanted and offered helpful design info), who briefly consulted me on what I was looking for in hair design and then was whisked away to have my hair washed and let me tell you I didn't know I was in for another massage - this time on my large head - felt great! Back to the hairstylist station and then within a few short minutes I was shown in the mirror what I had envisioned my hair to be like. If you are looking for a total experience like none other I would highly recommend this place. They got my business from now on and also my family and co-workers.
I got a gift certificate for Salon David from my sister for Christmas; she is always there and said I should try something different. I got a cut and some color, I was really impressed. Every body was very nice and the place was so quite, I?m used to having kids running everywhere, rude stylists that seem not to listen to what you tell them, it was a great experience. They have a new regular customer. I even met the owner and he seemed like a great guy, thanks.
FIVE *****'s to Salon David and staff! Top quality service. From the moment that you walk into the building you are greeting with the friendliest staff. Loressa is on my top list for hair color, I will NEVER go to any other colorist again :)..I loved her service*. It has never looked this great before! I am extremely happy with my new look..The salon has a very relaxed and professional atmosphere. You don?t see people chatting on their cell phones or have a room full of crying babies (THAT IS THE WORSE!!!).I have to disagree with queenB138,..Salons & spas are to RELAX and to want the opposite is ridiculous. If you want to be entertained or have loud noise around you. Go to a CIRCUS!! . it?s the perfect place to relax and at the same time receive outstanding service.
Thank you Salon David!!!

The stylists all have major attitude - as if they are doing you a favor by gracing you with their ""knowledge"". If you want an overpriced crappy haircut then this is the place for you - oh, and don't forget to buy one of their overpriced products (that you can now buy at HEB or Target)!
I live in a neighboring town with a 30 minute drive to this salon - so you can imagine my dissappointment and irritation when I was told that my appointment was not this Saturday but NEXT Saturday, which when I called I specifically requested a date not a day - they did not offer to fix their error - I will never ever return to this salon. Which is very sad, considering that I was a customer since 1999 when they were at their old location off IH 10 and Huebner.
Most of the stylists are completely snobby and will constantly harass you to get highlights or color - or a short haircut - all of which just means more money for them since you'll have to keep going back every 4 to 6 weeks or so. And they love to use razors to cut your hair - which I have since been told that that is one of the worst methods of hair cutting - especially for my slightly curly/wavy hair because it actually causes more frizziness and damages the ends of your hair.
Julian is one of the worst - he actually told me one time that he thinks he is a vampire!!! I guess that explains everything huh?!

Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before I went to Salon David! I had the same thing done to my hair........lots of uneven spikey things that I can't do anything with! I went to another salon to see if they could fix it, but they said there were so many uneven ends my hair would have to be cut very very short (like a man's!) in order to even things out. Even my husband (who usually doesn't notice much) took one look at me and asked what happened! It will be many months before I will be comfortable being seen in public with this hair, so my only alternative was to get a wig. I hate wearing it (especially in this hot weather) but its better than looking like a lawn mower ran over me. And to think I had to pay $82 to be butchered! I know I should have argued with them about paying but I was so upset all I could do was pay and leave before I started crying.

I went to Salon David on the recommendation of a very good friend, who gets very good haircuts there. However, her hair is straight and mine is extremely curly. I was assured by David himself that he knew how to cut curly hair. NOT.
I specifically asked him not to use a razor. Instead he did that thing stylists do with sissors that simulates a razor (I did not know at the time it was happening). Anyone with curly hair can tell you what a razor cut (or simulated razor cut) does. I now have:
1. A head full of nothing but FRIZZ
2. Hair MUCH shorter than requested
3. A very bad haircut/style
and it's too short to pull back or do anything with except wait 6 months for it to grow out.
If he was not experienced with my type of hair, he should have informed me and given me the option to cancel rather than be experimented on.

I chose Salon David based on their nicely done website, and I expected that for the price, I would have a well-trained hairdresser who could maintain his or her focus on me and ensure I got what I wanted. I brought pictures of styles I liked, which clearly showed long, blended layers not far from what I had upon arrival. To make sure I got what I wanted, I brought three pictures of what I did NOT want: choppy, short layers with long hair underneath. I even took the precaution of writing ?NO? with a black sharpie on them.
As I told the hairdresser Julian when he asked how I liked it, he cut my hair exactly how I didn?t want it, and I had the pictures to prove that?s what he did. He made my whole experience at Salon David angry and stressful. I look like a candidate for Rock of Love!
To add insult to injury, he made snide comments the whole time, saying, ?Your hair is green,? ?your natural color is mousy blonde,? and kept saying ?I can?t hear you/understand you? whenever I said something to him. He didn?t even trouble himself to offer me a glass of water. Alas, Julian was too busy making assumptions and coming up with ways to hurt the feelings of his client to oh, say ASK.
When I confronted him, I said and showed him that these were not long layers he cut (6 inches is short by any standard). And he was ready to charge me $52 for ruining hair I loved and only wanted trimmed and shaped. Now I have a year of growing out these cheap-looking layers.
The owner David was nice, apologized and said he didn?t know what he could do. He had no choice but to admit Julian didn?t follow the pictures I brought. David didn?t charge me, and I cancelled another $100 in services and products instead of give them another chance.
I can?t in good conscience recommend this salon since there is no way to ensure a client will get what she wants rather than what the stylist wants to give. Bringing ?yes? and ?no? pictures didn?t help Julian figure it out.

I recently ran across your acessment of my haircut with you. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with my style of cutting. If you would have come back to me, I would have changed my style of cutting with you and made it to your liking. What a lot of people don't understand is that when a stylist cuts with a razor, It's not supposed to be an accurate cut. some pieces are longer that others, and some shorter. It's not supposed to be even. I believe that what you are used to seeing in the mirror are even layering. The razor is not for everyone, but it does have it's place. I am sorry we miss communicated with each other on the style of haircut you wanted and I hope you find some one who can cut your hair to your pleasing.

I recently had my hair done at Salon David by Adi. I can honestly say it is the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. He actually never used scissors, he used a razor for the entired cut. My hair is all croked and uneven. I would never go back there again.

I met Francisco and his lovely wife at a party New's Year's Eve and knew right away they were both
hair-dressers and asked for their cards. I have searched this city for a good cut.
My hair is not attractive I think, but Francisco did an absolutely beautiful cut. His shampoo was
the most wonderful shampoo that I have had as well. He was patient listening to what I was
looking for. I have been feeling so ugly and life has been so stressful lately. Francisco's shampoo,
and the absolutely professional , wonderful, perfect cut has made me feel good about looking
in the mirror. I have gotten so many compliments about my new short hair cut.
Let him do what he wants and you will be amazied. I have passed out a stake of his cards to every
one that asked me where I got my hair cut. I am so happy and will not got any place else as long
as I am here in San Antonio. Great Job Francisco!! B.Howell
