If not for the nice woman at the front counter (who has since resigned), this review would deserve ZERO stars. When picking up dry cleaning, which included a redo of a jacket, the owner, Paul, did everything he could to insult me and blame me for mishaps that were obviously due to the cleaner's mishandling. Instead of taking responsibility for creating holes and stains in our comforter he said, "Good thing it's reversible." As for a jacket that also came back with a hole and a button missing, he tried to pin it on "silverfish" bugs in our home. It was clear that the jacket had been snagged and formed a line in the pressing process.

Needless to say, the owner made no effort to resolve these problems, except to offer to "send the items to a third party lab to determine the causes." Never again will I set foot in a Rose Cleaners and neither should you.

Lost a Customer for Life

Horrible experience using Groupon credit at Rose Cleaners. Went to De Zavala location and the lady quoted me a price with the coupons from their company website. I showed her the Groupon credit downloaded on my iPhone, but she said that the credit could not be used in conjunction with the coupons. I showed her the Groupon on my cell phone. There were other exclusions (no leather, no laundry, etc), but there was no exclusion for using in conjunction with company coupons. Not even a statement that ""other exclusions may apply."" Nothing. Still, she refused. I asked her to call her area supervisor (Jesse) and talked with him. He very reluctantly agreed to honor the terms on the electronic Groupon credit, and asked to speak with the lady at the desk. To my amazement, she continued to argue with him, trying to convince him to reverse his decision. Even more amazingly, she was successful! She cited a separate document provided to her that contradicted the electronic Groupon provided to me (the customer).

Even beyond the issue of the price involved, I am shocked Rose Cleaners execs would agree to one set of terms that would be provided in electronic format to the customer, and another set of terms and conditions that would be provided in print to the store. Were they not paying attention? And how can they blame the customer for that? Now, I have to complain to Groupon and try to get my money back. No way will I do business with a company that demands I adhere to exclusions with which they never provided me.

Excellent Cleaners

Rose Cleaners on DeZavala Road is a great dry cleaner. I can trust that they will always do a professional job. I have had several items cleaned by them in the past and have never been disappointed. Their staff is friendly and the facility is very clean. The prices are reasonable as well.

Great Job on Rushed Service

This place saved my neck. I got short notice that I had to catch a flight to our home office to give a briefing on a critical company project. I was anxious and hurried when I went in to ask to get my drycleaning done and my shirts folded in time for my flight out. These ladies gave me such peace and comfort that they would have me ready that my whole day went well. I wrapped up my affairs around town and got back to Rose Cleaners and I was ready to go. Great job, too. Thanks Rose.

Just not up to par

The ladies here are really friendly--but it doesnt make up for the fact that the dry cleaning is never back on time and they lost tons of buttons from my husbands jackets, a few ties and the last was they left dry cleaning fluid stains on a cream color silk jacket.

Let the Consumer Beware!

I had two shirts cleaned here that came back with huge brown and yellow stains (they were completely white upon dropping them off). After 3 attempts were made to clean the stains, the shirts were better, but still in no condition to be worn. The owner refused to replace the shirts and didn't even offer to refund the cost of cleaning/pressing the shirts until I asked him for that refund. I will be filing a complaint with a third party consumer protection agency, as this issue has not been resolved to my satisfaction.

I would tell you to take your clothes to 1-hour Martinizing at the corner of Lockhill Selma and Wurzbach if you live in this part of town--it was recommened to me by one of the employees of Rose Cleaners (I was told that ""they do a great job with shirts."") If you do decide to take your clothes to Rose Cleaners, just be aware that they are all owned by the same person, so if you run into any issues, you are likely to be treated with the same poor customer service.

I hope you won't have to deal with what I have dealt with here.
