I love Rookies. I know that t...

I love Rookies. I know that there were some concerns about the manager but I believe that the issue has been addressed and she is no longer there. I am not a regular, but my pours have always been extremely generous. I know there were some general concerns about the owner, and all I can say is that he is super nice and the driving force behind a great place to hang. He is down to earth and more than likely you have met him and thought he was just a friendly guy at the bar. Definitely a bar that you need to swing by and have a drink at whether youre a regular or not!

Also...Rookies beverage catering is the best option for your parties. I had mentioned to a friend that I knew this bar that catered and she used them for a graduation party. Not only were there generous pours...they never ran out of liquor (unlike some catering companies)! Even if you never go to rookies bar I would use the catering service in a heartbeat.

Best Sports Bar

Rookies has been my hangout for the last several years. Mostly because of the convenient location and very generous pours. The bartenders are all nice and friendly. Particularly Sierra whom I adore because she makes everyone feel welcome.

The patrons are predominantly regulars that are also warm and friendly enough. It is very hard to beat the drinks and the prices of this little neighborhood, ""Cheers"" style bar where everyone does either know or know of each other.

In a world of overrated con(temporary) bars, watered down and over priced drinks and cheap, ridiculous gimmicks, Rookies remains my bar of preference because its just that hard to beat.

Pretty cool place to hang out

I can see how RC001 arrived at some of his/her opinions, although if you've been going there for any amount of time (which it seems you have) you have to admit that the recent changes in staff have been more on the good side than the bad.

I agree with the texting and the tendency for most of the bartenders to flock to the corner of the bar and ""hang out,"" rather than to actually walk around and talk to other customers besides the ones closest to their cigarettes and drinks. But, it's still a vast improvement on certain previous (and current in a case or two) bartenders. I mean, c'mon, you have to admit that Sierra rocks the house!

I've only met the manager once and believe me, that was once too many times. If I've met the owner, he/she didn't announce don't know.

Agree on drinks, games, etc. It's a pretty cool little place to hang once in a while...if you can get the bartender's to pay attention.

Quality drinks at a great price, and a pub feel where you can relax with your friends...I've been there a few times and the service is always excellent, the drinks are well made, and even the ventilation is good (for those of us that don't smoke). I highly recommend it, if you are looking for a fun night out.

How I love rookies...let me count the ways

I love rookies, it's like an episode of cheers! Everyone knows Bubba (the bouncer), and everyone knows or knows of eachother. There is plenty to do at rookies as well and you always have good conversations as well as a general good time at rookies.
