I have been taking my Shih Tzu to Miami clips for 6 years, and they have always done an amazing job untill recently. The last 3 times I took my dog in the staff was rude, and the quality of which my dog was groomed was poor. I exspressed my concern for the patches of long hair left, and the mats behind her ears, yet I was told and additional fee would apply if I wanted her to be groomed again(I already paid $70). This last time I brought her in for her appointment they said there would be an additional charge for her mats behind her ears(which were not taken care of during her previous visit) and I agreed to pay the fee because I just wanted my dog taken care of. Then the manager took my dog walked behind the counter then told me that there would be an additional charge because she was aggressive. I couldn't believe what she was saying, I then told her I had been bringing my dog here since she was a puppy and have always been told she loves getting groomed and is usually really excited after her bath, then I asked what they are doing different than the past staff. The manager then threw by dog acrossed the counter and told me they would not groom my dog. I asked why and they said I accused her of mistreating my dog. I then responded by telling her if I thought she was abusing my dog I would not have brought her in I was only asking what they were doing different because she is not aggressive, she refused to speak with me further. I asked to speak with the owner Krystal who has personally handled my dog in the past years and she refused to give me any contact information or any way of getting in contact with her. Krystal if you read this please reconsider you current staff, reading some of the other reviews I can see I'm not the only customer concerned with the change.
I took my 9 month old Yorkie in for a shampoo and cut today, I requested a teddy bear hair cut around his face. I left him confident that the girls there could accommodate my request because I showed them pictures and they said it wouldn't be a problem. A few hours later I received a call to let me know that he was ready, I was told that he was aggressive and that they were going to charge me an additional handling fee. When I went to pick him up the bill was a little over $70 (for my 3lb puppy), I payed the bill and then they brought out a dog that was unrecognizable. They cut his entire beard off which is what primarily makes up the teddy bear look. When I got home to further examine him I noticed a red scratch on the top of his head which would explain why he may have become aggressive. I called Miami Clips to ask them why they had cut all his beard off and their response was that he was trying to bite the scissors and clippers so they did the best they could. I don't understand how they were able to cut the whole thing off if he was so uncooperative, in that case they should have left it alone. We will never spend a dime here again.
Im a retired GROOMER MY SELF , With that said i know bad reviews 9 out of 10x are horrible pet owners. The type who take your pet too the groomers ever
6 mos or worse, matted flea infected dogs and you want all done for $30 +$0 Tip. Like I said Im a retired GROOMER Im 57yrs now beeen grooming for 30yrs. Never have i seen perfection till today if i may say also I tip very well for perfection skill like my owne. I also offered sapphire to be my partner for a new grooming salon she kindly refused this woman has great potential, communication with staff, clients she has great authority over her staff. MR.Jacob
1st off I personally was very nervous because all the bad reviews.
When i went in other day i explained how i was nervous and the young nice looking stud Crystal not owner promised they would take extra care of my puppy.
She made me feel at ez and she was so sweet and nice she called the manager over too check me in she really took the time to listen to what i wanted as well took concern in too my pup the grooming came out Very well i personally was extremly Happy. Great job Miami clips.
I made a appointment for today which is Saturday for 9am there was a line of people all had appointment 9am
.I have been here before had HORRIBLE experience! my puppy was only 8mos poodle now she's About 2yrs, any way they nicked her, people were rude took longer then 5 hours. ..But today yes check in was long but they were super friendly new manager Satfire was asking me detailed questions like how you want face, body length,tail, nail grind are very good. i paid about $65 plus tipped her $20 my baby has never ever looked so perfect! THE LOOK I HAVE ALL WAYS LOOKED FOR I FINALY FOUND perment groomer i hope :( . I would defiantly bring my baby back to her and tell my friends. They also took all day but its a Saturday so worth the wait!!!
I love this place. They've been grooming my toy schnauzer for about a year and they are fantastic! Very knowledgeable and compassionate with animals. I recently took a stray that I found all matted up and they were able to clean her up and help soothe her skin. I would recommend Miami clips to all of you that want your pets to have the best care!!!
I love this place. My dogs feared the big box store groomers, but all 3 now love going here. They obviously care about the animals and are always friendly. I was in the shop when a stray, badly matted dog was brought in and they had thoughtful, caring recommendations on how best to clean the dog up and what the new owner could realistically expect the outcome to be. I once inquired about shaving my older dog down for the summer to try help her beat the heat as well as cut down on shedding, but they wisely talked me out of it because it wasn't the best idea for her age and comfort. My experience has always been that they provide good and honest recommendations and my dogs and I are happy we found this friendly place...also, the prices seem very reasonable to me, which doesn't hurt.
I have taken my 3 dogs here several times, and never have problems. In fact, I feel she has gone out of her way to accommodate me. My dogs are long hair breed and love to wallow in the grass and dirt, so when they go in for a cut they are usually tangled and filthy. I also get their ears dyed and end up adorable. I plan to keep going to Miami Clips.
Amazing! I love Miami Clips. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Booking appointments by phone or text message is extremely convenient. My husky needs a lot of TLC during a bath and they are always very accommodating. I know she is treated well because she loves going back! I would never go anywhere else!
I agree...terrible. I had a bad experience as well, and gave a bad review on another website. I recieved a phone call and was told I was a terrible person, and that she was going to call ACS to report that I neglected and abused my animal! I welcome the challenge. I hope she has a strong legal defense team! This young lady has terrible customer service skills - if any at all, and I question her personal "socialization" experience!
This was the worse grooming experience I have ever had. First off, I was told that the price was $29.19. When I got the phone call from Brandon, the manager, he confirmed this. I live less than a mile away from this place on braun road. When I entered, Brandon said the price increases $10.00 because my dog supposedly bit him. He had a band aid, but would not let me know see the wound. Also, the owner, Crystal, knew I was from out of town, which is why they decided to charge me more, because I was not a long-term customer. After this, I called the police. During this time, Crystal began to say rude and nasty things about me while I was standing there. She mocked what I said to Brandon, who was quite nice and understanding, unlike Crystal. At this time, Crystal started to threaten to call animal control and said that paying $10.00 was much easier than paying $1,200 from animal control. As an attorney, this business violated civil law. After much fighting with Crystal, who kept yelling, I was then told that only cash would be accepted at this time. This leads me to believe that this business has done this multiple times and does not want customers to dispute this charge through their credit card company. Also, this business probably doesn't report this extra charge to the IRS, allowing them to pocket the extra money. When the police officer arrived, I made a case and confirmed with them that they were in violation of civil law. Also, by law a business must give notice to a customer of potential charges. This business did NOT have any sign up talking about potential charges. I
