This was the worst moving experience I've EVER had. To begin with, the men arrived an hour and half late.They pulled our ENTIRE house out into the front yard-- we have 4 bedrooms, 2 living areas, 2 eating areas-- A LOT of furniture... All in my front yard. They were SO slow. They were supposed to take everything to a storage facility 4 miles away. After 13 HOURS, they had only taken 2 loads to storage and told us it was too late and could not do the rest- just to "call the boss and have them come back the next day" UH, NO! So at 11pm they drove off and my husband and I had to pull everything in our front yard into the garage and rent a uhaul truck the next day and do it ourself!!! They charged us $1,500 and DIDN'T EVEN FINISH!!!!! They broke several pieces of furniture, too. My husband contacted the owner the next day and explained everything and all the owner said was "mmhmm" the ENTIRE conversation- never apologized, never tried to explain himself, NOTHING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS!!! The owner is rude, disrespectful, unapologetic, and has no regard for his customers' time.
Short story: I hired these movers to move my belongings from my storage unit to my one-bedroom apartment 5 miles away upon my return from a year-long deployment with the Navy. These movers let me sit in a parking lot an hour after my scheduled move time before calling to tell me they'd be late. They ended up showing up 5 hours late (after they were already a full day late due to a broken truck on my original move day). The owner never answered nor returned my calls. I had to call him on one of his employees' phones to speak with him, and he was still rude, unapologetic, and refused to compensate me for the day he and his movers wasted. I have never felt so disrespected by a business owner or manager and strongly advise you to find any other moving company.
Long story: My move was originally scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2015 at noon. I received a call from the owner letting me know the truck broke down and that he needed to reschedule my move to Tuesday at noon. No big deal-accidents happen. I wasn't upset and he offered a 10% discount.
I showed up at my storage unit at 11:30 on Tuesday to arrange things for the movers. Noon rolled around and I began waiting in the parking lot for them. I called and left a message with the owner at 12:15 when no one had called me or showed up. Called again at 12:30-no answer, no callback. I waited in that parking lot for AN HOUR before anyone even bothered to call, and it wasn't even the owner. The movers told me they were late (which I had figured out all on my own an hour before), and that they expected to be at my unit at 3. I asked them to please call me when they were on their way. I went ahead and moved all my kitchen boxes in myself (me, a 100lb female living in a third story apartment) since my movers were obviously no help and I had other responsibilities to attend to that week. 3:00 came and went with no call. 4:00, no call. I called both the mover and the owner with no answer. Finally, at 4:45pm the owner called me just to say the movers were 15 minutes away-no apology, no reference to the fact that I had been trying to get ahold of him all day and had left multiple messages. They showed up half an hour later. I will say that the movers themselves were apologetic, and they moved the rest of my apartment in by 7:15 pm with just a few minor scratches on the furniture. When they asked for payment (with the $15 knocked off from not moving me the day before), I asked to speak to the owner. First the mover called him, talked for 30 seconds, and said that the owner refused to compensate me for wasting an hour of my time in the parking lot plus another day of moving. I asked him to call the owner back so I could talk to him. The owner was rude, dismissive, and told me that he was already giving me a deal of 10% from screwing up the day before. Screwing up one day DOES NOT give him the right to treat me terribly the ENTIRE next day. Lone Star Movers committed to a job, and I committed to pay them for what they said they'd do. However, they did not do what they claimed they would, so I should have been compensated accordingly. Unlike this company, I actually show up to work on time and follow through with my commitments. I had to unpack my belongings in the evenings after work instead of the days that I had off for moving. Apparently that man's time is worth $80 an hour, while his customers' is worth nothing.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY........They were suppose to have moved me at 2pm today. They did not show up. When I attempted to call them multiple times they would not pick up the phone nor return any messages. It is now 6pm and I tried one more time to call them, I have received no return call, text, email, nothing of an explanation of what happened. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHANCES WITH THEM.
These assh*les are ridiculous!! They showed up about 45minutes late, then to top it off damaged my furniture scrawny dipsh*t could barely lift anything! Now I've come up with a box of my things missing, and they won't answer or return phone calls! DON"T WASTE TIME OR MONEY....**BEWARE**
I'm not easily impressed. But the people from Lone Star have done what many have tried, and few have accomplished -- I'm actually taking time to write a favorable review, and of a moving company at that! Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming. The guys were so efficient and careful, and so very courteous. My things made it to the new place in the same condition they left in. And my wife didn't have to plug her ears everytime a mover walked in the room for fear of hearing yet another disgustingly inventive curse word to describe female anatomy. Thanks so much, Lone Star. You guys were great!
WORST moving company ever!!! I had a move scheduled with Lonestar Movers in San Antonio and had a terrible experience. The day of my move, I called the morning of to confirm the movers were still coming. I was told yes, absolutely we will arrive at the scheduled time. 30 minutes passed after my scheduled move time and no movers and no call. An hour passes, then 2 hours and still NO MOVERS!!! I called over 30 times and left messages and never received a return call. They just decided to not show up and not call!!! I am a single mother of a 6 month old and only had 1 day to take off work for my move. This company ruined my entire move and caused me a lot of grief!! I had to call moving company after moving company to find new movers that could come out ASAP. This company is a SCAM and claims on their website that they make your move seamless and efficient, and that's a pure lie!!! Don't ever ever ever use these movers!!!
I agree to the below review. These guys dont show up! They called me the day before my moving to confirm but did not show up on the actual day of movement. I called them at least 30 times and left voice messages but they didnt even had the courtesy to call me back.
Fake profiles to keep clientele!!! DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!! UNRELAIBLE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Had my new carpet along with furniture ruined by two of the movers fighting one broke the nose of the one mover and blood was everywhere. CALLED CALLED CALLED & CALLED NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE! They even started not answering our calls when we continued to call about being reimbursed! TV was broken along with our new mattress drug along ground causing it to be dirty and ripped! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! ALL THE EXCELLENT REVIEWS ARE VERY FAKE!!! DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE AFFORDABLE BUT I WOULD OF USED EXPERIENCE MOVERS AND PAID MORE FOR THE DAMAGES I OCCURRED USING THESE UNEXPERIENCED MOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the worst moving company ever. They take reservations then are consistently late. They ignore phone calls if you dare call to ask questions or complain. They do not send the correct equipment. The owner is incompetent at best, who curses people out. This is a fly by night operation that charges excessive fees for using a credit card. AND it's website is illegally using the BBB rating logo when in fact they have 8 complaints against them that they have never answered and they have an F rating. Not registered properly with the state. USE AT OWN RISK.

Contacted ""Nate"" to move our things at 9am Sunday morning. 9:30am comes around I contact Nate who says he is calling to find out where the truck is. I called him back 5 times wo any answer until finally, the truck arrives at 11am. The older of the two guys says he ""couldn't get out of bed"" and appeared to be hung over. The other guy was 18 and 5'1"". ""Experienced Professional movers"" my a$$.
Both proceeded to *slowly* move our stuff to the truck using a tommy lift gate to raise each individual item instead of loading it into the truck by hand. I had to explain to them repeatedly which items go in first as they would come off last for storage. Aside from being slow, they were clumsy bumping doors and walls and had to take repeated breaks (the older guy was leaning on his hands and knees in the yard looking like he was about to puke)
It took us (I had to help them because it was going so badly and they were so physically unequipped) 3+ hrs to load 1 sofa, 1 bed (already broken down), a dining room table (antique, which they slid, unprotected, on its side across the floor of the truck) a few chairs, 2 desks and an amoire that they knocked the door off of. I even had them LEAVE items behind fearing further wasted time/money/damage. This SHOULD have taken all of an hour, tops.
As we left my house they informed me that they needed to stop and get some lunch! I told them I'd allow it but I wouldnt pay for the time which they assured me would be comped.
When we got to unloading the truck the older guy call Nate (who never bothered to call me back) to report to him how long the unload would take (estimated at 2 hours!!!!) so he could run my card. I asked to speak w Nate and politely asked if he could help me out on the price due to all the unprofessionalism, being late etc) which he refused due to a litany of excuses from employees not showing up for work, broken down trucks (none of which is the customer's fault) and didn't care one bit that his guys were admittedly late because of their own irresponsibility.
I had to call my brother to come help unload the truck as the older gentleman was nearly useless by this point. It took us approximately 1.5hrs and yet didn't receive any discount for the +30 minutes that were assessed for the unload OR the +30 they spent eating.
This was an ABSOLUTE RIP! OFF!
I'll be contacting the better business bureau and friend's in the San Antonio mayor's office about this.

These five stars have to be fake reviews. If you want to be called profane names by the company owner, then by all means, use this company. The movers were telling me something different than what the owner had told my husband in terms of how long the move would take, so I called the office to get clarification. I was continually cut off and told I had too much stuff (except that wasn't the word he used). As things escalated, the owner ended up calling me one of the worst things you can call a women repeatedly, without apology. He told his workers to get the boxes they already loaded off what they claimed was a 16' truck (other companies send 26' for similar moves) and they left the boxes at the bottom of the stairs and left. I had one day to get the move done before surgery, so I begged the guy to send the movers back. He said he would and never did. Please if you are reading this, do not take a chance that this will happen to you. You get what you pay for. Wrong equipment, no inventory system to ensure the same number of items that leave arrive.... PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY

On 04/26/2012 at 8:12 PM, Alex from Lonestar Moving Company called and left a voicemail to confirm they would move my family on 04/27/2012 at 3:00 PM. Although I received physical confirmation on my direct contact line the night before, Lonestar is stating that I gave them the wrong contact number and therefore could not meet me at my home. I found this information out 3 days later when I called and finally got a person on the line. They had my correct number, how else would they have left me a voicemail?
The number they market (210)853-8989 is indeed a cell phone number, because I also texted the line to take a chance, and never got a response text saying it was a landline.
I have called over 20 times, left voicemails and wondered why I was promised a service, yet Lonestar could not follow through. I just called and finally someone answered at Lonestar, and then they perceeded to hang up. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau because apparently they are the only party that holds concern for this problem.
On 04/27/2012, my family and I were counting on Lonestar, and we were serverely let down. I had read online about the amazing customer service they had, and was looking forward to using Lonestar Moving Company's service for our new move. PLEASE be aware of their lack of follow through, service and place no guarantee in their arrival and word. I say this because I felt assured, and in good hands when Alex the customer service representative promised Lonestar's services to me on 04/27/2012.

***BEWARE*** Company does charge additional fees and fails to disclose the information until work is completed. A fee is charged if you use a credit or debit card. The company failed to mention this when appointment was set and questions were asked about the forms of payment, not mentioned on contract, and it’s not mentioned on the website. We found out after our moving truck was loaded and vehicle placed on car dolly. Called the company today (4/30/12) and mentioned this to the male person who answered the phone, he did apologize about fee but did nothing to resolve the situation. I mentioned that there is no mention of this fee anywhere on the website or paperwork. This male individual did not care to take care of his companies’ incompetence on this and when logic is used to do the right thing, you will get hung up on. I work with military and government individuals / agencies and I will mention to them NOT to use this company for any type of moving services.

They send boys with ZERO experience to do a man’s job!! The scheming boss of this company who can’t hire real movers is obviously on here leaving 5 star reviews because there is no WAY. They were an hour late, didn’t call and didn’t use dollys, plastic or blankets. They moved the boxes one at a time...We sold all of our furniture except some patio furniture, a washer and dryer, abt 35 boxes, a fridge and 3 book shelves that they managed to damage every one. They couldn’t move my fridge – I had to call my dad over!! My mom and I had to help them load their truck because they were running out of room with my few belongings and they didn’t know how to stack things to make room for other things. I’m pretty sure I had more experience moving than these “movers” did. It took 5 hours!!!!! The movers to get there took 2!!! If you ever get good movers, write the name of the company down or you could end up in a nightmare like this. I’m a small girl and me and a few of my girlfriends could have done a faster, better job!!! I called their boss (who probably keeps business going by leaving his own reviews on here) Nate who told me the job should take an hour and a half and he didn’t give a crap that they couldn’t move anything, weren’t using dolly’s or blankets or plastic and it took them an hour just to move the 3 bookshelves!! If you want a couple of teenage boys, hire them off the street at least it will be cheaper! BEWARE!!!
Thank you! Up on my friends recommendation, i chose Lone Star Movers Moving Company move for my move from San Antonio to Dallas. The final price was about 13% higher than the original quote(which they justified by giving me a new estimate up on their arrival on move date and showed me the list of additional services rendered such as packing, and more articles that needed to be moved). They packed and loaded my three bedroom home in less than six and half hours, and delivered my belongings in Dallas, with in 2 days of notice. They gave me all the documentation needed to get reimbursed by my employer. I have already refereed my friends to their company, and have talked to one of them that had a positive experience like me. Moving is not a fun thing to do, but doing it with a reliable and honest company like Lone Star Movers Moving Company makes it stress free.
Cheap friendly Movers with good manners I want to say a Big thank you to all the team of Lone Star Movers from the guy who took our booking Alex to the Boys that did our move from Kerrville to San Antonio,of our 4 bedroom apartment. They started at 7:00 am and they working with no complaints until 11:30 pm. They looked after my furniture and all my belongings from start to the end. I will not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. Great job guys!!!!?

I was recently stood up by this company They didn't even bother to answer my phone calls on the day of the move. After doing a little research I discovered that they are operating without a license. Any company that is legal must post a TX Department of Transportation number on any ads. No TX Dot is posted on the website so I looked them up. There is no record of such a company. I looked at the DMV website to try to find them and no such record. Call the DMV yourself at (888) 368-4689. These guys are scammers! Ask for the TX DOT # and see what happens. The girl will probably just hang up on you.

NO SHOW!!! I should have read the previous review, it to was a NO SHOW also! They left me to move my own furniture!!! I hired them because I am a mother of two small childern and needed help moving! The appointment was scheduled for Sunday, so impossible to hire another company. I called several times left messages, no answer or call back. I never write reviews, but this unprofessional company must be exposed. They have several great reviews (must be written by friends).
