Continued review from before.....present but the host completely shut down at this point by claiming "He didn't know English." So I waited until I found someone who could understand and may possibly provide a better answer than the first host. Wrong again that I would assume this. I spoke to a "manager" named Sam who pretty much said "Your out of luck, there is nothing we can do and we are extremely busy." He treated our situation like a joke and even laughed in our faces and joked how they are pretty much out of everything anyways. I do not know if this is how Kobe Steakhouse conducts their business or handle their customers but this was by far the worst customer experience I have ever faced. I was excited when my friend decided at this restaurant but after this experience I am warning my friends not to eat there because of how we were treated.

To Whom It May Concern,

I usually go to Kobe Steakhouse on occasion either by myself or with my significant other but this past experience has left me no desire to go back to this establishment. On Saturday August 20th, my friend had made reservations at this location (1007 NW Loop 410
San Antonio, TX 78213) at 8PM for about 10 people. My friend was informed that when the majority of her party has arrived then we can be seated. Which is completely understandable however, once the remaining guests showed up to claim our reserved spot we were told a different story. Once we go to speak the host, he told us we would have to wait until an additional hour to hour and a half to be seated. Obviously this didn't sit well with my friend nor the rest of us that has been patiently waiting to be seated. So my other friend tried to figure out if there is a manager that we could speak to, the host told us that there was no manager there. We tried to get more information about how there is nomanager

I would recommend ordering individuals plates or sushi, which was very delicious, specially the eagle roll. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the big orders of sushi such as the boat. We ordered the sushi boat (medium) $49.95. The sushi boat comes with 16 pieces of sushi, 8 pieces of sashimi, seaweed salad, and a soup. 20 minutes later, we received a boat that came with only 16 pieces of sashimi… keep in mind, the server didn’t provide us with our soup, nor provided us with the 16 pieces of sushi. I’m thinking, either our server is a thief for not placing our order correctly or the sushi chef for being lazy. It’s simplistic to make 16 pieces of sashimi, instead of the 16 pieces of sushi and the 8 pieces of sashimi. I was charged $49.95 for only 16 pieces of sashimi? What a bunch of thieves. I have the picture to back it up. This happened today 6/26/15 around 9:00-10:00. I would like to provide another chance to the restaurant to make it up, I’m a loyal costumer to that place, and this shouldn’t happen to us. If the restaurant doesn’t care about my review, then it will be last time to step inside that restaurant. Also, I would make sure to spread my experience through all social medias.

Horrible Rotten Sushi

The food was horrible. I ignored some of the bad reviews and decided to give it a chance. Well that was my mistake. Being a sushi lover, I took advantage of the Restaurant com deal they had and purchased this deal. From now on I will listen to reviews. We ordered sushi and I literally almost threw up when I tasted it. The rotten taste of the fish was unbearable. I have gone to many sushi restaurants in San Antonio and this place made me sick. I am writing this so no one else ruins their evening by going to this place. The spicy tuna tasted rotten, even the fried sushi roll that is supposed to be great tasted like rotten fish. How can someone mess up the spicy mayo? Well they messed it up. The mayo tasted sweet and buttery and had an orange dull color. I think HEB sushi tastes better than this. I think even buffet sushi was better than this place. Do not waste your time by going to this place. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. The rotten fish taste is still in my mouth and it makes me sick. I will literally be spreading this review around so no one else makes the same mistake I did by going to this restaurant.



KOBE... Great selection at resonable prices.

I visited Kobe on a Tuesday after work. I wasn't aware that I was walking into a GREAT selection and a good happy hour. Tuesdays is half off on all dinner entrees, and all drinks from the bar are $1 off. Not too bad and the sushi selection was very good. I highly recommend Kobe to anyone who can't make a decision on where to have dinner. Till next time, The Critic216.



EAT HERE if you want Great food!!

We completely enjoyed our dining experience at this wonderful restaurant! The atmosphere is awesome, the service is outstanding, and the food is divine!! The show the chef puts on while cooking the food was fantastic, too. Forget Benihana's and GO to KOBE (better EVERYTHING including the price!!)
