Bought pedi groupon from here. Went in for appt., never offered anything to drink. Never was offered the remote for the back massage. Asked her to clip my toe nails, she said she didn't have any , so she clipped them with cuticle cutters! I was anticipating the hot stone massage..well, that was a bust! Stones were lukewarm and she didn't put enough lotion on my legs, it was almost uncomfortable! Not to mention, the massage was a whole 2 min long!! Definately NOT worth $60!!! I got nails polished I the AM, wore closed toed shoes that evening, got home, nails were all messed up!! Never again! Decor is outdated, and not inviting at all. I have nothing good to say about this place unfortunately.
I love going to Kay's!!! I work right next door so it is very convenient for me, but even if I had to drive across town I would. The entire staff is very friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel at home. Stephanie always gives a great hair cut and if there is a hair out of place after washing she quickly makes sure it is perfect!!! I love her for that. I also get highlights and they always turn out perfect! I am such a happy customer! Thank all of you guys!!!

After having horrible experience at Kays salons, I feel I shoud make sure that I get the word out on what happened at Kay's.
. I heard it was rated as a good salon so I call and talked to a staff member about what I was looking for. I told her just what I needed, and asked if she could do this. I said I do not want to leave with gray hair left in my hair after spend 2 or 3 hour at salon, I also said I hate redish hair, she said she could do this. I had a big event for a Saturday party, and had gone in on Friday to get my hair cut and colored. I told her 3 time I DO NOT WANT GRAY Hair on the sides and needed it cleaned up as I was having the owner do a up do the following day.
On Friday I spent 2.5 hours at the salon. My hair was left with not one gray hair cover and very bright almost a red color. I was very up set

After having horrible experciences at other salons, I tried Kay's on a recomendation by a friend. I heard good things about a stylist, Amy, and was extremely satisfied with what she did. The staff was very welcoming and the environment was unlike any other. I definitely enjoyed my time there and will absolutely be returning for my next color and cut!
I left feeling great and had many compliments throughout the day!

I love Kay's Salon. I have been going there for years and the service is wonderful. The stylists treat you like family and really strive to give you exactly what you want. Now that I live in California, I always wait until I come home to Texas to make my hair appointments. The stylists there know my history and my preferences so I just can't trust anyone else! If you want great service and great styling, come to Kay's!

I was terrible about getting regular haircuts and just went to subpar chop shops before I found Kay's Salon. What a difference it makes! The prices are really reasonable, and, while David is my stylist and he is AWESOME, I'm sure that all of the staff are talented. They're very conscious about helping you find the cut that's right for you (even if you don't know what that will be when you walk through the door!).
I can't wait for my next appointment!!
I have my hair done in this salon. The service the staff provides is amazing! I am very picky about my hair and David has been so patient and accomodating. Kay is wonderfully friendly and patient as well. This salon is all about customer satisfaction! Love them all...

Don't even hesitate to call and make an appointment with David. I've been searching for a stylist for a couple of years now since mine retired and I have to admit, I'm skeptical where ever I've been, and been getting poor service. David came to my rescue with repair and flair. My husband said my hair has never looked better.
I also got a massage, facial, pedicure and manicure and based on experience all the services were performed world-class.
We went out for our anniversary that night and waiters and waitresses and even hotel guests complimented the style. If you're not using this place, then you are missing out.
I've been going to Kay's for the past two years. My husband got me the whole spa package - I enjoyed it very much. I was treated like a queen! My hair was worked on by Kay herself, that lady knows her job like no other. The highlights looked great, and my thin hair got volume after her haircut.
And then there is David... he will treat you like his own family, very professional and outstanding hair stylist.
To those who are wondering if they should visit the place, the aswer is YES, MAKE YOUR APPOITMENT TODAY! well, just wait till I make mine first, alright?

I just visited Kay's Salon & Spa recently and had a wonderful time with my NEW stylist, David!! He was fantastic and gave me the absolute best haircut ever! He really took his time with me and made me feel like he truly cared! Everyone here was really welcoming and made me feel very comfortable, offering me drinks or a simple smile;it was really nice.I can't wait to go back and I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new stylist or salon!
I am a new client to Kay's Salon & Spa, and was actually looking to write a review when I came across this review, and I had to write in defense! I had a wonderful experience at Kay's Salon and Spa. The staff is exceptional and the services I received were outstanding. I went to Kay's because I had received a gift certificate, but I plan on making Kay's my place of indulgence. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Iwas very unhappy with the service i recieved at kays,by kay herself.she didnt explain anything about the procedure until after the procedure,telling me what i can and cant do,what i can and cant use,im like uh..why didnt you tell me all this before.?i sure as hell would of walked out knowing what she told me.i went twice and both times the lashes only lasted intact for 3-4days very unprofessional the glue is cheap. theres only one salon in san antonio that have the required licensce to apply exstensions,i suggest anyone thinking of going to kays should do resarch first,i really wish i had a computer before all of this and i wouldnt be out 200dollars because they dont tell u that uneed to purchase a concealer also 4 40bucks.unpro. big time.oh,they are very ugly when a customer isnt happy,they ran me&my mom out,wouldnt refundMY money for the poor job THEY did on MY EYES.Igive kays a BIG THUMBS DOWN,yall really need2relook everything yall are doing as so-called cosmetologists,this gos to david too,you very disrespectful to my mother and myself,and im putting the word out to more women out there so they dont go through what i went through...and the texas board of licensing in austin doesnt have no record of a ms.kyong ok.solis or a mario g.solis which is very odd.i just want my hard earned money back. they refused to return an unhappy customers money.so,women.beware of KAYS HORROR SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! better buis.bureau gave me the owners names,i contacted them as well,thanks for reading this!
I am responding to this for anyone that has not been to our salon because we have been in business for over 21 years and have a happy and loyal clientele. We did everything we could to please this particular client and had no luck in resolving the issue even after we discovered that there was nothing wrong with the eyelashes that were provided for her. She called several hours after the initial service cursing our front desk personnel claiming that all her eyelashes had fallen out and demanding her money back. We asked her to come back so that we could see what happened and fix the problem. She refused and continued her verbal tirade over the phone. When she finally came in, it was only to yell and curse at Kay herself who had to ask her to leave for fear of bodily harm. This client called again after the weekend with what seemed like a very sincere apology which Kay accepted and asked her to return so that Kay could fix the problem. When she returned, TWO WEEKS LATER, Kay observed that this client had only lost ONE EYELASH. Kay replaced the missing eyelash and even lengthened the rest of the eyelashes per her clients wishes. Once again, we received numerous phone calls harassing our front desk personnel with demands regarding our licenses. We explained to this client that Kay was indeed licensed and she was welcome to come by anytime to view the license, which she has not. This client threatened to cause as many problems as possible stating that she would try and ruin our business and would contact everyone she could think of to cause us duress. We were recently subjected to a random state inspection,today, which we passed with no problems; and now I am responding to her review here. We did everything we possibly could to please this client and can only come to the conclusion that this particular client had no intentions of being pleased.

I had a HORRIBLE hair cut with Ashley from Kay's Salon. I brought in three photos of the exact hair cut I wanted. I even spent 1 year growing my hair out to the perfect length. I told her to keep the length and just clean up the split ends. She assured me she wasn't 'scissor' happy. BS! She cut my hair by 5 inches all around. I am so unhappy and there is nothing I can do but sulk! I should have known to get up and walk out once she told me ""I've cut my fingers twice in the past two days""....what kind of stylist cuts themselves after they graduate from cosmetology school?
On a good note, my boyfriend got a massage and said it was the best he's ever had.
