        Dr. Jeffrey Martinez is a native of San Antonio. His roots in the community begin in 1715 when his family first settled here at a time when the region was a new undiscovered territory. His family has been instrumental in the development of South Texas throughout its early history. Dr. Martinez attended Texas A&M University and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed residency training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and performed a vascular fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis. He is a board-certified vascular surgeon with additional training in endovascular surgery. He served eight years on active duty in the U.S. Navy with tours aboard the USS Trenton, USS Enterprise, and as the chief of Vascular Surgery at Naval Hospital Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Jeffrey Martinez, M.D. returned to San Antonio in 2001 and has practiced in the community since that time bringing new and unique technologies and techniques to San Antonio as the lead investigator for numerous clinical trials involving peripheral arterial disease. He strives to continually learn and evaluate new treatment options for his patients. He has a keen interest and expertise in treating complex lower extremity arterial and venous diseases. His training as a vascular surgeon gives him particular expertise in weighing the minimally invasive and traditional open procedure options.

        Staff very professional and courteous

        I had good results with the stent procedure. The follow up visit with Karen was excellent. She explained exercises that I would need to do and recommended PT to increase muscle tone in my lower leg to maintain the stents placed in my lower leg would remain open.

        Outstanding and friendly staff

        I've had seven imaging tests in the last eight weeks and this is by far and away the best experience I've ever had in my lifetime I've had over 40 CAT scans and MRIs and I would put the staff and practitioners at this imaging establishment at the very top of that list.
