Many San Antonio and south Texas artists used the framing provided in those early years. One of the company's most famous early clients was Porfirio Salinas. Salinas, whose artwork was owned by Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, was a client of the gallery and was represented by the gallery until the time of his death in 1973.J.R. Mooney Galleries has provided framing and representation for many of the notable Texas artists such as G. Harvey, W. A. Slaughter, Dalhart Windberg, and Jose Vives-Atsara.All twenty three major artworks displayed in the 1991-1992 G. Harvey exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute titled " The All American Horse" were framed by J.R. Mooney Galleries.
