Fearful of the Dentist NO MORE! I hate to admit this as a guy, but I have had such terrible situations at my last dentist that I was actually afraid to come to another dentist. After much persuasion from my wife, I finally decided to call Fossil Creek Dental. She kept raving at the friendliness of the staff and caring personality from the dentist. As much as I hate to say, SHE WAS RIGHT! Everyone is very nice and Dr. Almquist is a great doc. He is very down to earth and doesn t try to talk over you as some doctors tend to do. I was made to feel as I was a long time friend to each person I met in the office. My visit was painless and I left there with the such a great feeling, I will definitely be back. Thank you Fossil Creek Dental for helping concur my fear of dentist!
I would tell all my friends and family about this place. Getting my teeth cleaned is never high on my priority list, as I dread this task. However, this office has made me feel completely as ease. In fact, I look forward to going every 6 months because my visits are more like a friend gathering. We laugh, talk and before I know it, my dental work is complete. I have had to have 2 fillings done by Dr. Almquist, and not only did I NOT feel the shot, he talked me through every step of the way so I felt like part of the team instead of just another number. The staff is very friendly and comforting, they made sure I was at ease as well as completely informed of my financial co-pay. I would give this office 2 thumbs up!! NO wait time, I was completely in charge, and NO PAIN! LOVE THIS PLACE!! :)))))
I must say that I have been going to this dentist for about a year now. I have had some very horrible experiences with dentist in the past, they either want to rob me or make me wait for a long time. At Fossil Creek Dental, I have had neither of these experiences. The staff is very friendly and they make me feel like family. They take the time to explain procedures before I have them done, they also make sure to discuss all financial obligations before the work is done. I am given the opportunity to ask questions without feeling as if I am wasting the doctors time (as I have expereinced in the past). I would highly recommend this dental office to any of my family or friends. In fact, i have transferred all of my children's records to this practice. We are VERY satisfied with Dr. Almquist and staff. ;)

All this dentist is after is your Money. He nor his office staff will ever care for you as a person. The Receptionist is incompetent and the office manager does not understand the saying ""the customer is always right."" After being a LOYAL PATIENT since 1998 and following this dentist to 3 different locations, I did not have dental insurance for first time in 2011. I missed a few appointments, after complications with the receptionist not confirming appts or returning calls. They have reduced me to what they call the ""short call list"" and will not allow me to schedule a standardized appointment unless it is the same day i.e., you call in the AM and if they happen to have an opening you can come in. If you are anything like me, you may have a work schedule with clients/patients scheduled, kids with appts/activities... (ya know.. a life) and do not have the ability to operate that way. This is an exceptional technique to ""get rid"" of clients as the obstacle of the short list is near impossible to over come and once on the short call list you have no opportunity to redeem yourself.... you will always be on the short call list! You will never ever be considered a regular patient with the attributes of worthiness to be allowed to schedule a standard appointment. I have explained to them I cannot cancel a client at the last minute. But even after being a patient for 13 years, following him to 3 locations and having ethical standards to my own personal clients; this meant nothing to them. All I am is a dollar sign that did not come through and they will not take a chance that my dollar sign will not come through for them again, even though I now have the PPO insurance needed to see this dentist (which they are denying I have) and have offered to pay no show fees for the 2 appointments. The office manager was demeaning, belittling and literally said to me ""you are just mad because you are not getting your way!"" The last time I checked, treating a patient like this was not ""allowable"" or ""acceptable"" behavior. She made it clear she talked with the dentist about my case and he said No exceptions, period. I am hurt after giving this dentist 13 years of myself, my husband and 2 years with my son. My husband is appalled and has found us another dentist to take our family to. I say BEWARE. if you want some one to treat you as a human being, that has tough times, or a life... this is not the dentist for you! After 13 years I have been dumped and tossed aside. Being in the health care profession myself I find this way of treating patients not only immoral but unethical. But...as they say, there will always be another dollar sign And trust me, thats all you will be if you see this Dentist.
