I have never had any problems with Eyetx and I have been a patient for twenty years. I like all the doctors and the front desk people have always gone out of their way to be efficacious. People forget to write reviews when they are happy with the product/service, so I hope this offsets some of the previous negativity.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback regarding your history with our practice. I certainly appreciate you defending the Doctors and my staff. I appreciate any complaint or concern, as it helps me to continue to educate and train my staff to increase our customer service. However, it is nice to see a review such as yours. I filed a BBB complaint with this company. In short: there are plenty of 1 hour competitors who can make your eyeglasses just fine and cheaper.

I ordered four (4) pair of eyeglasses on 1/28/2011. As of 18 Feb 2011, only one pair has been delivered.
There is a lack of communication, no one will call. I have to call in order to find out information, and customer service is non-responsive to answer questions as to status of the order.
Ordered glasses at the 10722 Potranco Rd 107, san antonio tx 78251 location. Manager is not responsive. Wendy is the contact point at this location - however I've not gotten any commitment or response that in effect gives me delivery of 3 pair of eyeglasses.
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
delivery of 3 pair of eyeglasses or a complete refund.

We have dispensed all pairs of glasses to patient on 02/24/2011. We have not received any complaints or phone calls from patient since they have been dispensed.
We consider this complaint to be resolved.

Customer Response: Due to lack of communication from this business, I would caution any consumer to know that it took two day shy of 4 weeks (1 month) to receive all pairs of glasses I ordered. There are 1 hour businesses that compete directly with EyeTx and are a much better alternative. Buyer beware.
Now come on. If this complainer would have been with her obviously disabled mother maybe this bad experience could have been avoided. Maybe her mother liked the first frames she picked. Not until other family members disliked her new glasses, they blame the technician on the style. You should have been there when you mother picked her glasses the first time.
My family and I have used Eyetx for years. Dr. Bell and his team are the best! We have always been very happy with the eyeglasses selection and quality as well and have recommended Eyetx many times over.

They have HORRIBLE service at the 5011 Walzem Location. Ever since my mom went with her prescription on a Saturday the Tech couldn't verify her insurance. So he said to her to come back on Monday so they can verify insurance information even at that they had to write information down and they had to call her back. Why didn't they write the insurance information down to begin with!!!! Then gave my mom frames that are TOO big and fall off. So she went back in to choose another frame that will best fit her PLUS she had to pay OUT OF POCKET. What is the Technician there for just to get paid and go home. They should be able to help out ELDERLY people and what best fits their style. The third time my mother goes to this place is because her FRAMES SHATTERED on July 2 so she went into the WALZEM location to have them replaced, according to abby or gabby that, the manager REnee Kent has to okay for them to replace FRAMES that just happened to SHATTERED on their own. Talk about having a weekend without any glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the Walzem location on Monday to speak to Manager Renee and according to Stephanie she was TOO BUSY to take my call so she took my name /Ph #. Called back in the afternoon Renee answered and sttd SHE WAS TOO BUSY and she couldn't talk to me, and that she had my message and she will call me later, she didn't know when, but if I wanted to come in the office to get service I can do that. VERY UPSET regarding this unprofessional Manager along with their techs. Complained to District Manager Tammy to have this resolved and proclaim my mother's frames so she can see.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems out of character for my staff to reply to you with this type of customer service. We continue to strive to make sure our patients are taken care of completely and that our customer service continues to excel. We take customer complaints very seriously and they are not tolerated.
