Received excellent treatment addressing NEUTER, DEW CLAWS, TAIL DOCK, MICROCHIP. Having all four separate surgeries done at same time was convenient, cost-effective and easier for our pet. Dr. McIntosh and Staff at El Dorado Animal Hospital are "off-the-charts awesome" to deal with!
The staff here are the best ,the Doctor is great ,they take such good care of my dog Abbey ,I would never go anyplace else, they don't gouge you at billing either ,( which is why I quit going to another vet with my last dog), you can't go wrong taking your dear pets here .
We've taken our four animals to El Dorado multiple times over the past year, and whether it be an emergency or a routine check-up, we've always had a great experience. We've had pretty much everything under the sun happen as far as pet accidents - here and overseas - and Dr. Mac makes it better =)
we had our first visit with the El Dorado Animal Hospital on Friday. Our dogs eyes and skin started turning yellow and at first I thought this was a side effect from the medication she has been on for her arthritis but after being seen we found out she has a pretty bad infection. Dr. McIntosh and the entire staff were so wonderful. When he started explaining what he thought was wrong I immediately started crying and after getting me some tissues he really took the time to talk through the treatment that he was recommended and had the technician provide me with an estimate for the cost of care. They offer a 20% coupon for the first appointment and that really saved me a lot of money for her treatment. This all happened on Friday and Dr. McIntosh has called several times this weekend to check in on her and see how she is doing. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Our dog is 11 years old and because my husband was in the military she has seen quite a few vets over the years from moving around and Dr. McIntosh and his staff are by far the best we have seen.
If you’re looking for a caring and loving vet Dr. Mac is the vet for you. I have been going to him for 8 ½ years. I put all my faith and trust into him when it comes to my animals. He saved my dog twice from dying. He will never give up on you or your pet. If I ever needed him for anything he always answered my calls or returned my call within a short time. He will be honest and open and tell you the truth about your pet. If he feels a specialist is best for your pet he will refer you to them. He is open to your suggestions or ideas. He always made all my pets feel special when they came in. His vet techs are the best. They are very knowledgeable on vet care. They are courteous and kind. They knew my dog was super anxious about coming in so they would let me bring her in right before x-rays or any procedure instead of coming early and dropping your pet off. He will work with you to make your pet feel comfortable. He loves your animals as much as you do. My dog Sarah recently passed away and he was as heartbroken as I was, as well as his staff. Now that is a caring and loving vet. So don’t hesitate to check Dr. Mac out. You won’t regret it.
We love Dr. Mac and the staff at El Dorado. I have been taking one of my dogs there for 12 years, she is diabetic and is monitored closely. Our other two dogs are also seen by Dr. Mac. The staff are always friendly when I walk in the door and not only greet me but my pet. Everything is explained in terms I can understand and I always feel like I can ask questions and/or call about concerns. I appreciate that treatment plans are gone over with me as well as estimates so I can make decisions about the care received.
Loved the vet, the price was reasonable but always charging a little more than what I'd expected until I went in to get him neutered. I was quoted $250 (which was already quite high but thought no, I like them and thats who he has always gone to) on the phone and then when my husband went to pick him up they charged $320 which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous for a neuter! When I called to ask why I was told that it was because the pain medication. I would think that would be quoted in the price that I asked for before I took him in. Once again adding in those extra prices to get some more money. Very upset and although I liked the vet and staff I will not be taking anymore animals there because of this incident.
Bad Experience...We boarded our small dog for a week and asked for her to be bathed upon our return. We called at noon the day we were to pick her up and said we would be there between 4-4:30. When we picked her up she was almost dripping wet ...we were given a small towel to bring her home. (Her being wet when picked up has happened before but we have not said anything when the weather was warm) It was 43+wind this day. I called when I got home upset as she shivered all the way home. I said I would like to be reimbursed the 32.00 for the bath as she was not dried. Dr. Mc said what was wrong with her being wet and would NOT take off the charge. I said then I will just have to find another place to take her....he said "GOOD". I was shocked...we have been good customers and spent lots of $$$ having our dog treated and boarded there. Not a pleasant way to end our trip or start the New Year.

My husband and I recently adopted 2 dogs from ADL and took them to have their wellness exams. They gave us a coupon for being a first timer that really helped out. Our one dog ended up having major surgury due to a previous owner's neglect. If it hadn't been for Dr. McIntosh's thoroughness and compassion, I believe this pup wouldn't of made it. We have a total of 3 dogs and they get along wonderfully and the one acts like she's never had surgury. Thank you Dr. McIntosh for your genuine compassion and caring spirits for our 4 olegged family members! We will forever be grateful to you!\n

I took my female dog who just had puppies. Angel was very lethargic and I didn't have much money. \nThe vet took care of her and her puppies, they have a coupon that really helped me out financially. \nThe vet and his assistants were so professional and very caring for my babies. \n

We recently adopted a pug; she was in bad shape. We took her into this clinic and did everything the Doctor suggested. After surgery, our pug was a new dog just like the Doctor promised. Although she recovered quickly, she is home in the kitchen ""playing"" my wife for a very sick dog (my wife has her laying down on a big fluffy pillow, covered with a blanket getting extra special attention). This is the place to go if you love your pet and want things done right. Thanks Doc!

I have never experienced the care and HEART that this clinic provides. Dr. McIntosh is the coolest dude! I have a Parvo puppy in there now and I couldn't ask for a better team to trust. Even though it's about a 25 min. drive from my home, it is absolutely worth it. I happily recommend it to anyone and everyone! Thanks you guys for helping my babies!!! :)
