Dry Dock Oyster Bar

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. Our waitress left us half way through our meal and we had to find another waiter. We waited over an hour for our appetizers to arrive and our food when it did arrive was very over cooked. We were told we would be compt for our meal and when we went to pay we were overcharged. In trying to reconsile this the manager refused to give me her name and called the cops. In all a horrible experience!! Do Not eat here!!! Bad food, staff and management!!!

Great food, good service, rude management.

My wife and I come to Dry Dock once a month or so. The servers are friendly, and the food is always good. It's a relaxing bar-like atmosphere that we enjoy.

The only issue we have ever had is with the manager.. We brought our son who was visiting from out of town, and he had ordered a salad. The server brought the salad, then a few minutes later he brought another one that he said was extra. My son mixed it into his salad and was eating, when a short asian lady came by and took his salad away from him. She brought the plate back with half of the salad gone, and said he wasn't supposed to get two. She was very rude, and hard to understand.

We wanted to complain about the rudeness, but she said she was the manager. When we asked for a corporate number, or how to get ahold of the owner she said that she was the only person we needed to talk to and wouldn't give us a number. We tried to ask one of the servers how to get in contact with someone else, and she yelled at the waiter and told him to go inside and not talk to us. Well, maybe the owner will read this..

I love Dry dock, and would recommend the place to anyone, but if we see her working, we turn around and leave.

Horrible service, nasty water, overpriced food.

I went to dinner at Dry Dock on a Tuesday night with my boyfriend. He had warned me that it wasn't that good, but I was sucked in by the look of the place. We sat outside and all tables were dirty. Had to ask three times to get our table cleaned. To drink, I just had water, which tasted like dirt, so I got an iced tea. I ordered the Shrimp Doty, which is in the section on the menu that comes with veggies and rice. It arrived without the sides, so I asked the guy who brought it, who seemed to be the owner or manager. He explained that it didn't come with the sides, so I conceeded that maybe I was looking at something else. Still, he offered to give me pity rice so I would be ok. ""Complimentary"" rice never came. It didn't sit right with me, so I asked for a menu. Sure enough, it IS supposed to come with sides. Told the waiter (another guy), and he said it was a mistake on the menu. By then we were done with our meals, and so I asked him to credit the sides, which I thought was natural. He said no, because it was a mistake on the menu. I explained that they can't make up what they decide to serve and charge the same. THEY HAVE TO FOLLOW THE MENU. He then went to talk to the owner and I ended up with a $2 credit.

Food is just ok, but definitely not worth the prices. Better off at Sea Island, or even Red Lobster. Water Street Grill and White Fish have great happy hour oysters.

This is the perfect place to relax after work. The service has always been great and so has the food.

in the neighborhood

It was close to home. the food is ok but not anything to rave over. The entrees are way over priced. If they lowered the prices and had better deals on the oysters it would be more profitable in the long run.

Try It

One of my favorite places in town! Really fresh seafood, friendly staff and the coldest, largest beer in town!
