Great dance floor, very large and

Great dance floor, very large and roomy. Club is non-smoking, a big pluss. Only compt was the kids on the dance floor with drinks that they sloshed all over the floor. This was Memorial Day weekend so I chalked it up to school term blow out.

Did someone say PBR no im not talking about the beer but the bull riding also the ufc and other various concerts. This place has it all.....

Constant customer - now total shock

I'm sorry.... I used to love this place... until the day of veterans day where I wanted to celebrate there out of all places. I couldn't dance with my partner without the bouncers taking our FULL drinks and tossing them in the trash, it happened 3 times that night, and when my back was turned, an individual was looking at the bouncers moving in on my beer and tossed it away. When I addressed politely to a bouncer instead of the manager to keep it low key, he smerked at me as if I was crazy and stated it was new bouncers... another mishap was when my bf wanted to request one song as an anniversary present, the dj turned him away, my bf asked again if he can play this song, the dj said looking at his equipment ""I don't know""...If I shall ever return, the manager will be notified.

Untamed minors running around all over the place, they let just anybody in off the streets, so ghetto here now.

I dont like it one bit

The vibe i get from there seems so Ghetto and dirty i dont like the people who go there either nothing but little kids. Dont waste your time..

My wife and I are down for the weekend and decided to check Cowboy's out. When we arrived we were greeted at the door by a courteous doorman and easily made our way into the club where we saw a variety of activities to keep us entertained....namely the dance floor with a full stage with lights, smoke, and everything. They even had a cover band that was honestly one of the better ones I have seen in my almost six years of living in Texas. There were many fully stocked bars and standing behind them were bar tenders that were attentative and seemed to keep the waiting down to a minimum. For those of us that chose beer over liquor there were also several beer stations that kept you from waiting in line behind people ordering multiple mixed drinks. This place has a bull, card and pool tables, and decent seating. Oh, and you can get food there too if you so choose. If you forgot your cowboy hat...they have you covered. There is a gift shop with some hats for both the ladies and the guys. In the four or so hours we were there we noticed that the bouncers were on their game because the rif-raf was non-existant. Those too young to drink did have an M written on both hands and were required to wear wristbands but that is understandable. I know that back home alot of the places make minors wear a shirt that announces their inability to purchase alcohol so I dont think that a mark and wristband is such a bad break. We had an outstanding time and plan on going back the next time we are in San Antonio.

The kind of place a real cowboy would feel at home

I'm a new resident of San Antonio and I not only moved here for the great weather and people, but to dance and hang out with folks like me - love country music, rodeoing and dancing. Well, it only took one visit to Cowboys Dancehall to make me realize this place has it all. The music was great, rodeoing amazing and Cowboys made me feel right at home. Not only did I meet new friends, but I was a non-smoker in a smoker's bar, but wasn't affected by the smoke at all. The building is remarkable. If you're thinking of hitting the town for a night of fun, there's really only one place to go: Cowboys Dancehall.

I love this place but it is so frickin' DARK! Turn on some lights so I can see those fine Cowboys! I hate how dark it is!

Amazing Touristy Place..

As a tourist, I loved this place.. It has an indoor rodeo and a huge dance floor. They have Rodeos there every friday night.. On the day that I was there, Tracy Phillips, (apparently a huge San Antonio favorite) was performing..

Couple things I'd like to complain about are that its very hard to get to .. You can see it from the highway, but, can't quite figure out how to get there.. Fortunately, we had their phone number, so, we called and got directions from a person..

The second thing I'd like to complain about is that there is no food available.. I understand that its a bar, but, it would be nice to have ""bar food""..

And, like all texas places, smoking is allowed inside..

Will I go there again? Absolutely!

Best Place for a great time & awesome COUNTRY music!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like the previous comment was left by a MINOR!!! Once they have reached the legal drinking age, they will appreciate a great place like Cowboys Dancehall !! It is not only a great place for both singles but also for couples!!! What a great place to relax with friends and/or your spouse & just have a really great time!!! Great variety of music!! Prices???... Average... just as any person of legal drinking age would expect to pay!!! SEE YOU AT COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o)

Cowboys Dance Hall is awful. The drinks are extremely overpriced; even a small cup of coke! is $2. If you're a ""minor"" (18-20), you will be required to wear a wristband and have a large, embarrassing 'M' marked on both of your hands. Sound like a concentration camp?

The overall theme of the place is much like Disneyland: there are rides and games all around. Of course, they try to squeeze as much money out of your pockets as they can at each of these attractions. How about a ""fun, free"" game of Texas Hold'em where you have to dish out $10-20 just for the privilege of playing at their almighty table? You may as well throw your money into one of their pristine toilets.

Let's not forget the ""stormtroopers"" in their white and black uniforms with their ear pieces and a radio clipped to their belt. ""Quick, someone is cheating at our hoax poker table! Seize him!!!""

Avoid this place unless you like being robbed.

Best dance floor around, whether you are learning or you're practicing what you know, plenty of room

My husband and I love coming to COWBOYS. The service is great, the music is the best and the atmosphere makes you want to stay all night. We've been dancing for years, not pros, but not too shabby and the dance floor is awesome for us. We drive from Blanco, Tx. to dance here and it's worth it. We are in our 40's-50's and dancing keeps us young. We've been searching for a couple or couples to get together with there, it's much more fun with friends. Most of our friends don't dance, so we're usually alone and haven't ever met anyone that we were compatible with. If you think you might be interested in getting together and meet at Cowboys, let us know through this site and we can exchange info on each other. We prefer a couple not a single person. We're just looking to meet people who love to dance around our age. Write us and we'll keep checking back...........Keep on dancin', Mr. and Mrs. Dirt

A little better than your average

Cowboys has a fun atmosphere. The live bull riding is very unique. It's usually pretty crowded and the prink prices are high. The music is good and there is always the mechanical bull to watch!

Texas Two Steppin

Overall, I like the place. The staff was extremely nice and I love the bull riding on saturdays. I saw Corry Morrow here and he put on a hell of a show. The sound was a bit off though. The dj plays great music and this place overall is like an upscale country and western experience. Thanks for showing me a good time!

I love the rodeo on saturdays and the drink specials are the best on thursdays. I have met so many people at far west since I have been going. Hats off to the management. Everyone is just so dang friendly!

still going

I have been going here for 5 years. This place is still the best. Waitresses are beautiful and friendly. The concerts are less, but the dj palys great music. This is still the hot spot for country and western or anyone that likes to dance. Keep up the good work!
