I am a native Texan born in San Antonio, but live in Tennessee presently. Whenever I return to SA, I have to have a ""fix"" of the best barbecue around, so make it a policy to head to County Line. I find their food to be excellent and the service great. They also accommodate parties.

I think it's a little expensive and the portion size is small. The fried food is a tad too greasy. The BBQ is good but it's far from the greatest you will find. Frankly, I think Bill Miller's is better (same type of fare as a lower price. However, this is a good choice if you want to take friends out just to experience an interesting setting where you can take your time and have beer and drinks in addition to the food. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are just looking to eat, go only if you are looking for an experience, maybe to share with some out of towners.

Food was uninspiring. Left feeling like we paid too much for food that was just passing. We ordered the home made bread, pulled pork sandwich, and the beef brisket. The bead was warm and good but the entrees were not worth it. The BBQ sauce was something you could buy from a local grocery store. The decor in the restaurant was a rustic Texas feel but that didn't do anything to help the food.
I would avoid and go somewhere else.
