I call on business accounts in this area of San Antonio every Tuesday. On several occasions my account customers and I have stopped their for lunch. I don't know whether Tuesdays are at the end of their food inventory day, and they restock on Wednesday, but every time I've eaten there the food taste on the verge of being stale. Last time I ordered the Cielito plate, the shrimp had a mild ammonia flavor ... yuk. On another occasion I had the Tacos yucatan, the sauce was a bit pasty, and flavors were muted. I have had the dish in the past, and I must say with better results. With so many other choices in the area, I'll stick to my favorites for now, or maybe I need to try a Friday or Saturday when the food may be fresher.
so as soon as i walked in with my children there was a man yelling and fighting with what seemed to be his wife or girlfriend at the front door of the restaurant, they were cussing... the hostess was incredibly polite and so was my waiter. turns out i found a hair in my enchiladas. i asked to speak to the manager and up comes the man who was yelling and fightinng with his wife or girlfriend at the front door. i let him know about the hair in my food but he offered absolutely nothing because i had already eaten off my plate. he seemed frustrated even though i was extremely polite, i just wanted some type of discount since i could not finish my food. thats when i realized how unprofessional the management was. he spoke to me rudely and the first thing i experienced was him fighting with his wife. that was the worst first impression. the manager was fernando i beleive. and on the way out i saw him drinking at the bar!!! it has literally been the most unprofessional atmosphere i have ever experienced at a restaurant!!

Sadly our waiter was IVAN, this guy is cant service tables. He did not check on us nor he refilled our chips. I was drinking beer, he took long to re take my beer order. One of our plates was not edible, so we sent it back. The manager just took our complaint and did not offer any solution. We will never step foot in this establishment again!! IVAN THE HORRIBLE!

Yes Guys be carefull with managment, We were there a couple of sundays ago and left a camera by accident, called later same week and spoke with hostess she stated that camera was at the manager office and he was the only one who could get it but she stated that my camera was there and that waitress remember us and and give it to the manager so he can returned the camera to us. Big Surprise 1st he stated that he had it and make me drive there and he swap my new camera for a very old no battery used camera. Can you believed. I just want to give you guys a heads up because it is not fair and by the way if you leave something behind by accident make sure you call the same day other ways he will tell you and they only keep things for less than a week. FOOD IS GOOD BUT SERVICES HORRIBLE WATCH OUT FOR MANAGMENT..

I went there just two days ago and loved it.
Service was great.
Food was delicious (enchiladas poblanas)
Margarita was one of the best I have had. I would have had two but it would have done me in.
Restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I ate inside but they have a wonderful patio as well.

Tortillas, enchiladas, fajitas, salsa..Try the enchiladas poblanas:) they are to die for. They have great service and even better food. I'm from S.A. and I know good Mexican food (Tomatillos, La Fogata, Patio, Salsalito's, Alamo Cafe). We eat it on a weekly basis and nobody has better food, and I would swear that on the Bible. I have already taken about 10 different family members and friends there and gotten 100% thumbs up. I eat there so often the waiters don't even ask what we want, they just bring out my poblana enchiladas and diet coke. Try this place at least once and if you don't like it you should move to San Francisco because you have no clue about mexican food or San Antonio anyway. Happy eating...

I had the guava margarita here, and it was one of the top 3 I've had anywhere. Their margaritas are $8, but they taste great and are very potent--one is all you need, but you'll definately want more! I also love the food here. My personal favorite is the enchiladas verdes, and my coworkers really enjoy the caldo del pollo. The service is usually pretty good, but I have had a slow server occasionally. The one thing I don't care for is their salsa. They're on the 3rd salsa recipe I've seen from them in about a year, and there hasn't been a really good one yet. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner (no lunch specials), so I think the prices are a bit high for lunch, but for dinner it's completely within an acceptable range.
