I've been taking my animals to Dr. Beissner for 7 years, being from the neighborhood. Very reasonable, Seems as time goes on, the Dr. isn't quite as friendly or attentive/sympathetic. I feel rushed when asking him questions, just today I took my fat cat in because he had been sneezing a lot. The Dr. came in, and my cat freaks out, he does not like the Dr. The cat was very stressed, and the Dr didn't care about calming him down. My Kitty's temp is not taken, but the Dr goes and gets an injectible antibiotic, starts to put it in kittys hip, cat jumps and hisses, makes the Dr jump, he tries to inject again, same thing happens, and he sternly says "put him up (back in carrier)", and we were done....? I asked the Dr if he got all the medicine in the cat, he says yes. He didn't tell me the shot was $55, I feel he should have discussed the price, and I think most of it went on his fur, it was wet by injection site. He seemed really short and impatient. I've spent over $1000 over 7 years, but still feel like a stranger in there. I think I'll be looking for a different vet, someone that cares for my cats like their own, with a pleasant demeanor, and doesn't make me feel like I'm bothering them..

Yes, a I thought the same things of Dr. Beisnner. But today I had the most traumatizing experience in his clinic. He just was another man, maybe it wasn?t his day, but that wasn?t my fault or my pet?s.
I had to take my beloved best friend and faithful companion to sleep, and was the most traumatic experience that she and I had. To start, he wanted me to get out of the room and leave him do the work with my cat. Of course not! I was there to be with her in her last moments. And he wanted me to leave. Then he began to give her the sedative in the cruelest way, with him and his assistant holding her like if she was a lion, my cat was very upset meowing horrible. I had to turn on my back, cover my ears and not see it. Then he told me that's why I should leave, I asked him if there is a better, not so hard way to give her the sedative. He said that would be with gas, but that he had to take her inside and that would take 20 mins. I told him no problem, he took her inside and in less than 5 minutes came back with my girl relaxed and calmed. Then he says is already relaxed, and then right away he grabbed the last shot to give it to her, she was still conscious, was moving her eyes and blinking, but quiet and defenseless. I asked him if he wasn?t going to give her more time for the sedative to work, make her sleepier, he said no she?s already relaxed. I told him: ?well can you give me a few minutes with her before giving her the shot?? What I wanted was to give more time to the sedative to work, to see her sleepier, and of course talk to her before she would be dead. He just looked at me like saying, ?this woman asks too much? and with a despotic attitude and like in a hurry, he said: Ok. So he went inside and in less than 2 minutes comes back and says, ready? I just hated him. I would never go back to that place. I told him ok. After he gave her the shot I asked him if we could stay with her for a few minutes to say bye. Of course with his attitude said ok. They went inside and in less than 2-3 mins the assistant comes asking if that was enough.
I know when they took her inside to give her the gas, they didn?t do it, they gave her that traumatizing sedative injection, that made her very upset, they lied and didn?t put the gas, because he himself told me the gas will take like 20 minutes, and he returned in less than 5 minutes.
Furthermore, his attitude was all the time cold, despot, insensitive, inhuman, and in such a hurry, as if they don?t understand the pain of the people who are losing a pet who was considered a very meaningful part of the family. Yes, it was lunch time and I think that's why he was in such a hurry, but why he doesn?t schedule these things for a better time?, if he knows for these things the family needs to take their time to say goodbye to their beloved pet .
I feel so bad that my baby had to die in such a traumatizing way, I felt guilty because now I thought that I should have looked in different vets and ask about how do they do that process, to me is important to find good human and sensitive doctors who are able to put themselves in the other?s shoes.
Dr. Beissner, you are an inhuman butcher, and I will never stop by your butcher.

I took my dog into this clinic about 21 hours after getting hit by a car...he was behaving normally but got hit very hard and I was worried about internal bleeding. The doctor was direct, professional, responsive to all my questions, and informative. The price was extremely reasonable despite the fact that I would have paid all I had to keep my dog alive. Not exactly the most gorgeous facilities, but I'll take a no nonsense professional any day of the week over a fancy building. Thanks BCPC.

I loved this veterinary clinic. The doctors are wonderful and the care they give you is outstanding. They take the time to speak with you and give you frank answers. We adopted a small kitten from the pound who had been injured and instead of spending more money to X-ray the problem because it had already healed, they told us how to exercise her in order to build up the muscle in the leg. We have moved back to Austin and will miss this practice.

My Beloved Dear Sweet Precious Friend and Roommate, Jewel:
You know how many vets in town I called and interview (even TX A&M cutting-edge techno-special by Referral Only, Feline Internal Medical Teaching Hospital) and all the other fancy-schmacy animal hospitals, botique-clinics, with guru-specialists and all their techno-babble and the options not being in our/your favor and costing like the Mayo Clinic.
Atfer of all that, you and I agree and wanted only Dr Beissner to take you to a better place without any pain and suffering. You knew that Dr. Beissner was our Best Choice from the Beginning! You just wanted me to figure it out the hard way, by deductive reasoning thru process of elimination and all those stoopid human tricks.
I and My Dear Sweet Precious Friend, Jewel want everyone to know that Dr. Beissner is the BEST VET in all my years (50+) being some animal's pet! I am their pet, that's right!
Dr. Beissner, THANK YOU and YOUR STAFF for being Honest, Professional without all the techno-babble, Sincerely Compassionate, and Generously Reasonable!
You are a Gentleman and a Scholar!
G-D BLESS YOU & YOURS!
My Beloved Dear Sweet Precious Friend, Jewel and her human pet, TDWUSA.

Dr. Beissner provided much needed support for our beloved pet Pepper when she needed it most. He was gentle with her during her appointments and he was kind enough to field our questions about her medical condition offering various options to consider for treatment.
With each of our office visits, Dr. B and his office staff have always been observed demonstrating kindness, compassion, and quality care to all the furry patients and ?patience? with us pet owners who fret over our loved ones. This is why we have been bringing our pets to Blue Cross Pet Clinic for the past 12 years. God Bless Dr. B and his Team! :o)

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Blue Cross Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They always treat you professionally and your pet with the respect and tenderness you expect. Unilke some other Vets I've seen, they don't try to unnecessarily up-sell you on medicines and products you don't need. I highly recommend the Blue Cross Animal Hospital to care for your pets.
