I moved here from a completely different state and it wasa very stressful, the owner, Kelly didn't seem to care though. The movers were very slow, (however were fairly nice) but on top of that they damaged a 2 month old leather couch when moving it in. Put several holes in it and scratched the leather in places. They also chipped a wood desk right in front that I noticed after they left. I told Kelly and she said she had people to ""repair leather"", I was a little upset that my brand new couch would be ""patched up"" and would not be brand new anymore. I was very upset and actually crying over this since I spent quite a bit of money on it, her response to that was "" you are crying over a scratched couch ?"" They have insurance for a reason, and she said that buying me a new couch just wouldn't be cost effective. So I have agreed to have her patch it. She told me the day after I moved to email her and she would send me the paperwork. it has been 5 days and I have yet to hear from her via email or phone. Do not use. Completely unprofessional.

I read all the reviews before I decided to use this company. Since my staff was more like one bedroom equivalent without any boxes, I believed that the job should have been completed within a couple of hours. I asked them to come to my house and got the flat rate that was reasonable.
On the appointed day, actual movers came on time that was good. They were friendly and didn't see any problems. There were three people but one of them was a son of the responsible individual. The other guy was more or less OJT type unprofessional person. Problems I saw were (1) One person knew the job pretty well but others didn't. (2) They moved my important bed set without wrapping (they did it in the cargo track). (3) This OJT-like person was kind of out of control. His son was always instructed by this responsible person.
The job was less than 2 hours and there were pros and cons.
Good thing---Quite quick,
Bad thing---Our bed frame was damaged. This OJT person was kind of careless since he made some scratch mark on the wall. He forgot to tighten bolts of bed frame when he re-assembled. He forgot to place two bolts, as well.
I think that if you want to move not-so important staff, you can go ahead and use them. If you want to move some delicate staff, I don't recommend you to use them. Do I want to use them again? Maybe not.

I completely agree that the owner is pure trailer trash plain and simple. The movers were lazy, my boyfriend and I moved more things than they did. The movers also broke the legs off of a piece of furniture. The owner cursed me out and called me names. She was the most unprofessional women I have ever dealt with. I also would not recommend using them for anything!
I had to give a rating to publish this review, but I think they deserve the worst possible rating!

The owner is pure trailer trash plain and simple. Her company scratched our walls, damaged several pieces of furniture, and lost one of our boxes. During the claims process she cursed me out over the phone because I asked why she had not returned my phone call. She then went to brag that her husband is a lawyer so her ""legal fees are free."" Little does she know that means absolutely nothing. At any rate, she is incredibly nice to you when she wants your business and will down right curse you out when you try and make a claim. But then again, most trashy people think they are tough over the phone. I would not recommend using them for a move simply because a person who treats customers like this does not deserve to be in business.
I originally had a call out to A&B Guranteed Best movers, they never showed and never called, instead sold my move to Best Price. So over an hour after my move was originally to begin, these guys show up, great.. I knew who they were, I knew they weren't the best, but I was frustrated and needed to get my move done. Mistake #1.
These guys had a 2 man crew, at any time only one of them was actually working except when they needed to lift one of two heavy objects that couldn't be moved with a dolly. These guys turned what easily should have been a 90min move, into a 2.5 hour fiasco.
They couldn't get a couch out of the door without beating it up, the two of them couldn't seem to communicate to each other what they were doing. On top of all that, when it came time to unpack my things, I found antiques piled under heavy press board desk pieces, paintings and other wall hangings just piled atop each other, nothing leaned against the wall to keep it safe. I've also got one or two missing items from the move. So now I've got an antique wall panel that has a very visible scratch in it, a couple small missing items, and a broken desk to show for a move that I payed entirely too much for. And that's just what I've found in the ~16 hours since the move.
Needless to say, if you read this, or any of the other reviews for these guys... stay far away. Don't even accept them if your planned mover backs out.

I had a pretty good experience with Best Price Movers. They called to let us know that they were running early (by about 2+ hours) and if we were ready, they'd come over and get started. They didn't start the time until they actually picked up a box. So, even though we weren't 100% ready when they first arrived, because we weren't expecting them for 2 more hours - they patiently waited at their truck.
They blew through the move and were willing to help move other things that I hadn't thought to ask them to move. Ricky & TJ were very accomodating and fast.
The only ""problem"" i had was that the dining room table got a little nik on the top from trying to move it out wihtout taking the legs off. We quickly realized the legs needed to be removed to get it out of the house. They were quick to help remove them.
Once we got to the new house, they moved everything in quickly and took care not to hit walls, door frames, etc...
They did it all in UNDER 2 hours! While they DO have a 2 hour minimum, it was worth not having to move my entire apartment myself. They were friendly, timely (early) and did a great job.

When getting a quote Melissa"" was nice and thorough, asked me a TON of questions (3rd floor-yes, big screen TV-yes, etc). On the day of their dispatch had them drive back to San Antonio after having an Austin move earlier in the day, so they were two hours late to my appointment, arriving at 8pm! They do not give their employees phones or radios so even though I was promised to get a call when they were en route I instead got a call when they were in San Marcos, from the employee's personal cell phone that only works in San Marcos, to let me know they were stuck in traffic, did not know how long it would take them, & could not call me when they got close so my roommate had to sit and wait for them to show up and could not get other things done. I had to give them directions because they don't give their employees directions/mapsco/GPS. When speaking to them while they were stuck in traffic in San Marcos they were trying to convince me to let them come back tomorrow. When I insisted that they still come that night, the guy made sure to complain & let me know how much trouble he was going to be in with his wife & how much tips are appreciated. Between 6 & 8 there was NO way to get a hold of them. I could only speak w/ their dispatcher in San Antonio who told me to wait for them to show up even after we'd been waiting literally hours, that they may have ""stopped for something to eat since it's so late."" When they DID finally show up they informed me they would not move my TV unless I signed a waiver because their truck has no suspension, something Melissa failed to mention when we discussed my TV specifically. She also told me they were insured to cover ""100%"" anything they broke but upon arrival they made me sign to confirm that they only cover 60 cents per pound for broken objects (if you think about it, that's NOTHING. $30 toward a broken 50lb tv or 10 cents for every broken dish? POINTLESS.) The two employees rotated between talking about how fast they could get everything moved & complaining that we were on the 3rd floor. One of them asked to use my phone 6 times! Twice was to call Melissa, the other 4 times were to call his WIFE! & he made sure to mention ""these late hours we work, this is the path to divorce."" One of the times he used my phone he had an argument about something with his wife & when he hung up proceeded to complain about her and how unfair she is, meanwhile NOT moving my belongings. Both employees used our bathrooms at both locations multiple times (they were only with us for two hours!) & didn't have any water with them & asked us for something to drink multiple times. They bumped & scratched our new coffee table, dresser & desk. What I signed for when they arrived and the quote I got on the phone over a week prior were the same but @ the end they tried to add $40 more in admin fees! I pointed this out & after some arguing got it back down to $5 over what I had been quoted. They then demanded tip which my BF begrudgingly gave them (the way they were acting we were afraid they would come back & vandalize/rob us!) & they then complained that we couldn't break a 20! NOTE if you got the magnet on your door, it SAYS they are better b bureau members but they AREN'T, and they have a D- better b bureau rating which is AWFUL! I called to ask about it & Melissa insisted that it was her first week & she would have to take my number & have a manager call me back because she had ""no idea what I was talking about."" All I wanted was confirmation that they were or were not a member of the better b. bureau and she couldn't find out for me. They WERE the best price I could find & they DID move my one bedroom apartment in two hours but they were not professional, were very late, were ridiculously discourteous, tried to overcharge me, banged up my furniture & I would NEVER use this company again or recommend them, except maybe to my worst enemy!

Phoned them and they gave us a good quote over the phone asked to have quote emailed. Kelly the owner stated she couldn't send one until 3 days before the move. How long does it take to email a quote ?
I'm thinking maybe it's because the emailed quote would be higher than the spoken quote leaving us only 3 days before the move to get another company.
