Not special education friendly...

I had two boys who attended this school with one having special needs. The administration refused to follow his Individual education plan and behavioral intervention plan. They not only hurt my child emotionally but also physically leaving bruising by not following CPI protocol or his BIP. They were quick to blame my child for their lack of disipline. The administration and district bullies their employees to lie and cover up. We went to court to have both a state and federal judge rule that yes, my son has a disability and no, the district did not follow his IEP/BIP. The school never acknowledged their wrong doing and continued to refuse to follow his IEP/BIP. The arrogance and blatant disregard for honesty and integrity is overwhelming with the administrative staff. My husband requested a transfer for his job in order to get out of this school district and to give our child a chance. Do not trust anyone...always record every ARDS meeting and have it are going to need it. In hind sight, there are great teachers within this district. There is an outstanding program directed by Nancy Neubaugher for mainstreaming special needs children. However, Bush administration refuses to acknowledge their suggestions and intigrate it within their school. I beg other parent's to come forth, I know there are more of you. I feel for the families, teachers and children who are at the hand of this administration currently. I can only hope that TEA, The upcoming new School board representatives and new Superintendent will clean house so that teachers don't have to teach in fear and children can excel.
