I have taken both my Pitbull, Bonita and Chihuahua, Lola to Babcock North Veterinary and they did very well with Bonita and Lola. Lola needed updated vaccines and grooming and I was very satisfied on how they handled my fur babies and followed up with me to check on them. I highly recommended Dr. Guerra for all your fur baby needs.

I will be finding a new place to take my dog. Not only did I, a pregnant lady, wait 20 minutes standing in line to get serviced, when there was a woman sitting at her desk. But the vet and vet's aid were very rude, acting like I never play with my dog or teach her things because she was hyper. Just rude for so many different reasons. I will be spending the extra money to go somewhere else.

I highly recommend this clinic to all my friends, and family. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Guerra's clinic since 1994. She has a genuine compassion and desire to provide the best care for the animals she cares for. In 2001 my dog Max was diagnosed with Lymphoma, she directed us to one of the best oncologists in this city. Dr. Guerra was always willing and ready to see us or answer any of our questions. Max had another great year and a half, until we could no longer win our fight. And when the day came she and her staff, stayed open late, and were very compassionate and caring as we let Max go. Her and her staff sent us a sympathy card too.
And now fast forward ten plus years. I am still going to Dr. Guerra, although now my new ""sickly child"" is HUNTER, a lab with Epilepsy. When I got him he was having seizures at 7 weeks, Dr. Guerra informed me that he was epileptic and would need extra care. WELL, that was 9 years ago. Hunter just celebrated his 9th birthday, and is still acting like a puppy,. Dr. Guerra and her staff have always been available, ready and willing to answer questions, or take Hunter in for an ""urgent"" checkup, they have filled ""emergency"" prescriptions for me, and squeezed him in between appointments, they have always returned my calls, and answered all my questions. They have been very accomadating with payments and have always been willing to find the most cost effective way for me to provide Hunter with the best care. Anyone who loves their pets, needs to take them to Babcock North Vet Clinic, your pet will get the best care!!! TRUST ME!!

We took our new puppy, Lucy, in for her initial eval and booster shots. I was impressed by the caring nature of Dr. Chao and the time she took to educate me and my 3 year old son in caring for our new puppy. A few hours after we got home, Lucy began repeatedly vomiting. I called the clinic just before closing time and the staff immediately got Dr. Chao on the phone. She stated Lucy was probably having a reaction to the booster shots. She said to bring her in and she would wait for us. Not only did Dr. Chao and staff stay after hours to see Lucy, she gave her some fluids to keep her from dehydrating and medication for the reaction. She charged for the medications, but did not charge for the exam or after hour’s fees. She was genuine in her care for Lucy and I am so glad we found this clinic, as we will happily continue to take our pets there and recommend it to anyone who wants their pets seen by professional yet sincerely caring staff.

My dog has been a patient here ever since she was young. We took her in to get all the initial puppy things done, and everything went fine. My dog is now a couple years old and luckily has not had any major or minor health issues so we have not been having to take her in often, just for her yearly shots or checkups. I had heard other people say that this place tries to sell you unnecessary medication, but I didn't notice, just they wanted to sell me ear cleaner or different kind of heartworm but it all seemed to make sense. Until we were told by the vet about what sounded like a serious health issue. We make an appointment. 2 hours after our appointment was scheduled, we see the vet for 5 mins and he says she has allergies and just needs to flush her eyes. Then he decides he wants to biopsy a small bump that we had already been told was benign. We asked why, he stated reasons that all indicated that the bump was benign, like we knew. When we stated that we had already been through this and there was no need for the biopsy, the vet seemed to be slightly taken and backed off.
It wasn't until this incident that I agree that they seem to be trying to push unnecessary medical costs on the owners. I understand the financial responsibility for my pet, but I want to find a vet that truly cares for the health of my pet rather than the products that are pushed or the profit that is made.
Any suggestions for a new vet?

Took my Sassy Bear there today because of an abscess on her chin. They were attentive and the Vet was friendly and beyond helpful. What impressed me the most though, were the prices. My bill came out much lower than I anticipated (included Meds.). Danny, at the front desk was very polite and caring. I go back in 2 weeks for a follow up. 'I'm sure I will not be disappointed :)

I've been using Babcock North as my primary vet hospital since 2006 and have only good things to say about the clinic, the staff, and the vets. I rescue cats, and any time I've had an emergency, the clinic has always seen me immediately, and when I had to have a kitten hospitalized for several days, they worked as hard as they could to stay in my price range.
The staff truly care about the animals they work with, and they know many of their regular visitors by sight and name. I highly recommend Babcock North- and in fact have to people looking for a vet or who're trying to find affordable kitten care!

I've been to this place four times. Not because i had a choice, trust me. The receptionists act like they are puzzled all the time. One of them gossips more than he works. I dealt with other workers and trust me, there's only 1 or 2 that i can really point out that ACTUALLY HAVE work Ethics. The others Always sit around and Never ask if i needed assistance. In conclusion, The manager of this place needs to get his/her Thinking together. Seriously! how hard is it to do at least the BARE minimum of effort to keep this place running!

They were awesome, not only are they personable but the doctors are really nice and very professional. If you're looking for a vet that makes you feel at home then this is the place to go. The charges are also reasonable and give you some good deals for medication. Thanks for the reviews everyone, I finally found a good vet for my puppy.
I had a dog that had a litter of 9 pups and they were all very sick. 3 of them died. I called the vet and they had me bring them all in right away. It was parvo. They gave them fluids and managed to save the rest of the pups. I was worried that the bill was going to take me to the poor house but it didn't. The price was very reasonable. I found the staff to be very caring.
