About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I had an appointment with my primary care provider today for my yearly exam, which I booked 7 weeks ago. Last night I received a phone call asking if I had called to change the time. I had not. The person on the phone asked if I could change my appointment to 3:30. I said sure. I arrived at 3:20 to sign in for my appointment. I waited and waited and waited and finally at 4:10 p.m. I approached the front desk staff, who were all sitting around doing nothing, and asked about my appointment. One person says, "Oh, Dr. Estrada is running about an hour behind." Um. could they have told me that when I walked in? I walked out of the appointment. I am sure if I showed up an hour late, the doctor wouldn't take me. The front staff of this clinic is uninformed, unprofessional, and lazy. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. This same clinic gave my daughter a WRONG VACCINATION and like an idiot, I have given them chance after chance after chance to redeem themselves, They have failed miserably every time.

I liked this clinic until a few months ago when I went to see my doc and she treated me like a drug seeker because I am very sensitive to meds and refused most she offered and suggested a specific one that HAS worked for me in the past at 1/2 the usual dose (prescribed by a surgeon that I didn't want to pay my deductible to go see just for a refill). You can never get an acute appointment and well physicals have to be booked 2-3 months out. Today I tried to get my 1 teenager in that hasn't been established there yet an acute appointment and I was told they don't book acute appointments for new patients!!! Since when do you have to be HEALTHY and seen before you are allowed to see a doctor for actually being sick??? Either their office staff is clueless and they need some serious retraining or the entire office needs to be clued in on how medical offices work.Sorry Medfirst at are fired. I'm hiring a new doc.

Poor Medical Visit

Wow we had the worst experience at the 1604 location. They are lacking assistance with helping sick people. I took my wife in today she was feeling very ill. the receptionist was on the phone. We signed and sat down for over 20mins they never once looked at the sign in sheet. I went up to the clerk to ask a question on how long it might take and i was told a least 2hrs. It seemed they were short staffed. I would not recommend them to that location. We left and went they cross the street to Texan Medical... We were in and out within 30mins what an experience.

Great Doctor/Great Care

I was injured a while back and had been to the ER a few times and a couple of doctors and got all different diagnosis and opinions but no relief and no treatment. I was walking out of HEB and spotted his sign and gave the office a call. He actually answered the phone and talked to me. I told him I was outside and he told me to come on in. He spent at least 30 minutes with me that day just asking questions and trying to get to know my situation. We scheduled my first appointment and I have never had a Dr take so much time with me and really listen to me. For the first time in a long time I felt like a Dr was really listening to me and EXCITED to help me. He spent so much time with me I am truly impressed and he really put my mind at ease regarding my issues. He has done all he can to help me in my situation and I am confident I will get great results. I will be going back and telling anyone and everyone who will listen to go to him too.

If you want a doctor who is never available for appointments and staff that could care less then this is the right office for you.

I also had a great experience with this clinic. The facility is excellent. (The big screen TVs and interactive lighting built into the floor entertains the kids while they wait.) I went in without proof of insurance and the front desk staff did the research over the phone to confirm insurance while I was there. They went above and beyond. I too have only a $20 copay normally, but my URGENT CARE copay is $50, which is what they charged. For Sunday morning access to a physician when my daughter had a 103 fever, this well worth the extra $30. The physician was excellent.
