We interviewed MSH School as a potential school for our daughter. However, we preferred another school, and enrolled her there.

My son has attended this school for one year and he has learned so much. Teachers and Director are awesome
This facility is UNPROFESSIONAL. Located close by Lackland AFB, this location takes advantage of military members and don't provide the childcare services they are seeking. If a member PAYS for a service, that service should be provided! Half the children attending is the Staff's! It shouldn't matter if a child is there 12 hrs or 30 mins, that service PAID FOR should be provided!
We have two children and have tried several day cares/preschools including Montessori. I find Giant Steps to have the best curriculum and most competent staff. The teachers are certified and have bachelor's degrees, which speaks to understanding of child development and learning. The owner (Jennifer) is also a teacher and highly involved in everything from daily curriculum to changes in the classroom environment. The classroom environment changes monthly so that they children do not become bored. Jennifer researches extensively the different types of activities and learning curriculum to provide the best possible outcomes for students. The owner of the preschool actually knows the first and last name of my child as well as any issues he may have. I could not boast this of any other preschool programs we attended.
My husband and I absolutely love this school! We made a great decision by sending our son to Giant Steps! My son looks forward to going to school everyday! We enjoy seeing all the hands-on learning he gets in the classroom. The BEST preschool in San Antonio, NOT daycare!
We have been here almost 3 years. Our son has grown from shy to confident. He has learned how to read and is now beginning to write and he is only 4. Additionally, when we have parent lesson nights, he loves to show us new things he has learned in class, whether it is a new song, the letters of the alphabet, his numbers, or that he is now learning Spanish. He constantly refers to his classmates as "friends" and looks forward to seeing them every day.All of his teachers are involved with growing the children and it feels more like a family than just a regular school. Ms. Rosemary, his current teacher, has been teaching for more than 30 years, is a published author, and her love for teaching and children is evident. Ms. Inez, his first teacher, has been teaching for more than 10 years, is always laughing and smiling and the children respond to her. The Director, Ms. Lage, has over 35 years of experience and is wonderful. She has a daily presence at the school and is committed to ensuring that Pinnacle exceeds parents expectations. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to see their child grow in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment.A very satisfied parent (Eric)
Beware this place has been on the news for bad employees. They also are not clean, they gave my kids both rotavirus. Both ending up in children's medical center for 3 days. I picked up my child and she has secluded herself from the group in a kitchen toy and her temperature was 104 and no one even knew. She also kept saying her head hurt and she fell down but no one knew where or how. Their lack of care is neglect. I asked for the owners name and they refused to tell me. They also had other violations like diaper creams in reach of children. And nap mats stored in restroom where fecal matter can settle on it. I have pictures of all violations. Please beware.
I absolutely would not recommed this daycare to anyone. My grandchildren were attending this center. The directors assistant(Ms. D) is a fake and evil. One morning as I was dropping the kids off I heard her tell a Boy that the next time he was in her way she'd kick him. The director and other staff members were in the same room. When I talked to the director about that she acted as if she heard nothing. Later that week a staff member pulled me aside to tell me that my gransons teacher Ms. Shelley yanked him by his arm because he wasn't staying in line. She said she talked to the director and she just covered up and made excuses for them. I immediately contacted cps and transferred them to another daycare. Please don't leave your babies with these evil ladies
This facility was amazing before the change in ownership. The lack of leadership is clear both in lack of presence and oversight. The facility more often than not, is short staffed or the present staff is too immature and unable to manage a classroom that meets the level of care promised. Many state standard violations observed and complaints made to the state by parents, as 20 requests for inspection made over a two year period. Dirty floors, no clear indication of sanitizing of toys that are placed in mouths during the day in the infant and toddler rooms. No state required hand washing before meals and after diapering, no measures taken after a preventable outbreak of RSV in the infant room Hand and Mouth Disease in the toddler rooms, and more. Today, I could not recommend this facility to anyone. It is a matter of time before more children are injured just from lack of following basic state standards as a facility.
This school is the latest in the"Go Charter" push. I think parents are feed up with public schools and this looks like the answer the teaching is high paced and the teaching staff is going the extra mile to make sure the students are learning. Contact with teachers is awesome. Currently the school is still going through construction and is a work in progress.
