I like HEB, and ordinarily have a positive shopping experience no matter which store I go to here in San Antonio Texas. Tonight at around 9pm, I shopped at the 5910 Babcock Rd location. It's not very busy then, and with checkouts had only a few people in line if that. I chose the nearest check out (#1), because it's sole customer's purchase was completed. There were no customers behind me. The person at the register rang the items up with out greeting or eye contact. Still, no one was in line behind me. As she was finishing the bagging up my $30 or so of purchase, she launched into a negative lecture on my lack courtesy to others (?) because I had gone a bit over the 10 item limit sign that I had missed seeing. Still there was no one behind me. This critical "dressing-down" continued for a while with pauses that seemed to invite an argument. When she finished speaking to me, I responded with my only statement: that if I had upset her that much, I would cancel the sale. Still there was no one behind me at that checkout. I then related the incident to the Manager on Duty and left without the groceries I had intended to buy. Still there was no one in that checkout. I am a 60 yr/old disabled veteran with sight and other impairments, but fortunately, courtesy and common sense are not on my list of problems. From my days in the army, I couldn't help but wonder how much of this situation was a training issue?
In living in san antonio culture is very limited. This store as I had happen to find it in a little corner with eveyrthing that is surrounding is a jewel. The store is very clean, stocked, and good customer service. I would recommend this to anybody who misses Indian or arabic food.
This is definitely one of the greatest stores in San Antonio, they have a large variety of Asian, European, and Middle Eastern foods, most of it is imported. They have everything from Russian tea and British chocolates, to Japanese shrimp chips and Turkish crackers. They also have a small select…
Thrilled I found this place, quite by accident, too, just driving by! African in flavour, they carry quite a few products we use in Caribbean cooking. Including tubs of salted beef, and vacuum sealed packs of pigtail that go great in rice dishes and soups. Several types of ground provisions that…
Visiting San Antonio over the weekend from LA. Read the reviews and made an effort to find this place, and we were not disappointed. The tamales, salsa, and tortillas are amazing. If you love Mexican food, this place is a must when visiting San Antonio.
I grew up in San Antonio and throughout my lifetime have lived all over the world; but when I come home to Texas I have to have my Jacala. \r \r Jacala has been in business since 1949 and their food and service has ALWAYS been consistently great!! You will not find a better plate of Tex-Mex an…
After reading the previous bad review, I felt compelled to write one of my own. My wife and I purchased a Kinetico water softener system from Aqua Purifcation back around 1991. Don Parks was the original salesman/ owner that sold the unit to us. We had the unit until 2010, when it finally needed…

Jon Strandlie is an extremely knowledgeable gentleman in the areas of finance. He has provided both my husband and myself with unbiased objectives in different ways of making our money grow for the future and ensuring there will be enough to maintain ourselves in the lifestyle we are accustomed to living. He is very patient and kind and does not mind taking the time explaining to you something you do not understand. I have seen clients ranging in age from 20s to 90s walk in and out of Jon's office. My husband and I have almost a 20 year age difference and so it is imperative to my husband that everything is set up to take care of me. Jon has been instrumental in this and we would not have been able to do this without him. On top of all of this Jon has a wonderful manager for his office, Rebecca, who is there to help you when needed. I would highly recommend Jon to you, or anyone who is looking for someone experienced and confident in handling their money not just for you but with you.
My family livea few minutes by this store. I love the location since its very close to home and a 1 stop shop. Heres my probem. My son and i were standing in check out and apperantly the young lady new my son from HS and she was not fond of my son. With that said she was not only RUDE to me but RUDE TO ME MULTIPLE TIME THAT I WENT THERE. I did complain to a JR manager who i hope spoke with this young lady about her attitude. This by the way still goes on even last week when i was there.I say these young ones need more training while checking out customers.just last week on Friday evening after work past 7pm it happened again with a new cashier. She kept trying to get her managers attention who promly came but just stood there acting like she was going to bag my items. I AM JUST OVER ALL SAD WITH THE WAY CERTAIN PEOPLE ACT!!! Jhasty
I went here with friends from work during our lunch break. The staff is very friendly and appeared genuinely concerned that we enjoyed or visit.I liked the variety of hot dogs available and I especially liked the condiment bar and all the different types of mustards. There’s not a lot of seating inside but we got there early, 11:15, and there was no problem finding a place to sit. I’m not sure if they have a crowding problem or not. It was not crowded by the time we left. (11:45)My only complaint is the limited amount of parking.
Just had lunch at Kings Ct. and it was great! The price is right and the portions large. The fat boy weiner is truly huge! I had The Alamo dog and hand cut fries and it was very tasty. Another plus is that they have such a wide selection of toppings...and they don't charge extra for them. I was able to load up my dog with jalapenos, relish, onions and my choice of about 15 mustards, without incurring an additional charge. I will definitely be back to try out a few more dogs.
This is my go to grocery store. I feel so happy when I walk in. Everything is always cleans and organized. The employees are very respectful and incredibly helpful and friendly. Their vitamin section employees know their stuff!!! Many have taken their time to genuinely educate me and cheerfully and knowledgeably answer my million questions. I love shopping here.

This is the best store in San Antonio. From Cleanliness to friendliness, nothing can compare! Yes this store stays busy unless you wish to shop at 6am when very few are there! The store remains busy as a testimony to it's management from the store to the Meat market to the Pharmacy, this team is what professionalism really means!
In this location you walk up to a counter to order, and they cut the meat right in front of you. I like to get the stuffed potato with smoked turkey, but the brisket and ribs are also great. You can also get a cold beer with your meal, which is nice.
Boardwalk Real Property Management has been more than dependable and a great company for my home. They are easy to work with and always have things handled. I would recommend them to anyone in need of their services.
