I’ve had the most unpleasant experience at this salon today. I arrived 6 minutes late for my appointment and tried calling the salon several times to inform them of my late arrival (what a courteous customer should do) to only get a busy signal.! . Upon my arrival the front desk clerk informed me that the gentleman who was scheduled to do my facial would be running a few minutes behind. That few minutes turned into an hour wait time. The front desk clerk repeated that he was wrapping things up throughout the course of my wait. So my anticipation was that it would only be a few minutes longer. When asked how much longer I would have to wait she informed me another 30 minutes because he didn’t know it was going to be a facial... he thought it was a hair appointment. I don’t know how he would have presumed such being I called the salon at 10ish to confirm my appointment time and what service they had me down for. I think this is unprofessional to your consumers. I would NOT recommend going to this salon if this is how they treat their paying customers.

Laua Frisk is the best permanet make-up artist that I have ever encountered. I have had several procedures and when Laura did my eyebrows a few weeks ago I was amazed how fast and almost painless the process was. The end result is perfect. It looks very natural and has good color and shape.

My first visit at Hair Affairs was to trim damaged ends. Zohara recommended that I get a Keritin treatment for my overprocessed hair. Knowing that my hair was damaged I trusted Zohara because the Salon is an Aveda/Goldwell salon. This is a 3 hr treatment which Marina patiently applied to my hair. The Keritin treatment is a huge success I'm very happy with the recommendation. My second visit was for a cut/trim which Zohara did for me. Again I'm very pleased. I moved from Houston 2 years ago, and have found it difficult to find Goldwell salons. I'm elated to have found Zohara, and Marina at Hair Affairs.
Today I arrived to get my brows threaded by someone I have gone to for years. I called ahead and there were two people in front of me. I was already running late for another obligation but because they weren't open Sunday and she wasn't there Monday I went ahead and waited. While I was waiting my daughter came in from outside and stood very close to me and said Mom you know we're already going to be late , we really need to go. I teasingly offered her my champagne and said everything will be okay. Then that's when the owner k told my daughter to chill out and she told her that it was Mom time and I was getting pampered. My daughter looked at me with a look of disgust after the owner told her that she needed to chill out. The owner proceeded to put her hand on my daughters shoulder and tell her you need to chill, my daughter told her do not touch me and Kaye told her I didn't touch you. My daughter argued yes you did and then Kaye proceeded to put her hand and wave it in front of my daughter's face to get her attention, my daughter walked out. She came back in and followed me to my service. While I was getting my eyebrows done we could hear Kaye in the lobby talking to everyone about my daughter in vain. My daughter walked out into the lobby and said I'm not deaf you know and can Kaye preceded to tell her I'm glad you're not deaf and she made comments about she was just doing what I should have done as her parent. While I was getting my service I can hear this exchange of yelling with K telling my daughter to get out of her shop or she would kick her out and she went over to the door and my daughter left. I left my service in the middle of it to walk out into the hallway and to tell K that she needed to calm down and I was just dumbfounded at the way she had behaved because never was I upset with my daughter or felt she was disrespectful yet Kaye proceeded to tell my daughter she needed to chill out which escalated the whole scenario. I feel she had no boundaries and was very intrusive. My daughter suffers from anxiety and depression and a you can imagine that this issue caused her great anxiety and ruined our evening and my service. Honestly I feel that my daughter was verbally assaulted and just about physically assaulted by a grown woman and my daughter is a 15 year old girl. I never felt my daughter was being rude, but rather she was responding to a stranger telling her to chill out, hence her behavior and look of disgust. My daughter simply came in to let me know we really needed to go as we were already running late and kaye took it upon herself to parent my child with what she believed was going on. Horrible experience.
