We love this range! The owners are so great! We've always received nice service and they are very gracious. They keep the range very safe and extremely clean. Three things I really like are: one, the staff actually operate the ranges by calling cease fire and they trade out the targets instead of you having to do it on your own and asking everyone else to stop shooting to do it; second, the spaces/tables are divided by hardware cloth as walls which creates your own designated space for shooting; and lastly, the pistol and rifle ranges are both covered over the spaces/tables so you are in shade. The staff does pick up the empty shells between target trade outs to keep the areas clean - however, you can keep your empty shells if you want, you just have to let the staff know it put them in your bag before the staff comes by to empty the containers. The prices are very reasonable, too. We've come here probably about 15-20 times.
I am attending a ladies class they are giving and they are wonderful. I had a fear of guns and was almost dreading the class, but our instructor has relieved all my fears and I actually enjoy the shooting. They are professional and take their training serious. I would recommend them to anyone…

First time Yankies to this outdoor venue. The entire staff couldn't have been more pleasant, informative or accommodating. Rules were regularly reinforced and followed by all. Even San Antonio's finest were present for practice. Would go again when next visiting Texas.

I like this place. The guy at the counter was courteous enough. You don't have anyone looking over your shoulder while you're shooting. It may not be the best looking place around but I'm there to shoot that's all. I'll be going back. Prices are very reasonable. Thumbs up! David C.
11. Dietz Gun Range
well, it's been there for quite some time. u walk out & staple ur taget urself, then stand next to others while shooting. nothing is "seperated", per say. u depend on courtesy & vigilance to stay safe out there. everyone seems nice. the best thing about them is their rate.…
Best area range. If you are a know it all don't bother. The test is simple and given after you read the rules sheet. the only people who trouble with it are those who don't take it seriously. Having witness many people who skim the rules sheet and then can't answer the simplest questions I get h…
I am so sick of Internet bitching! The Owners are NOT rude or unprofessional, They ARE, however, VERY professional and SAFE. BUT, there are a ton of SENSITIVE EGO Maniacs that can't handle straight forward direction. If you are too sensitive and emotional to accept direction, then you probably shouldn't have a gun in the first place. Go take a class and the Fu@! Over it! This is one of the best places in town!!!
Awful owners. And very poorly run. Lack of rules or procedures. And customers are firing everywhere. Very unsafe.
Great place, friendly, professional
Top Professional Shooters giving classes really helped me learn defensive shooting! I recommend this training to beginners and advanced shooters.
I don't see why there are negative reviews on the owner. I find he and his wife to be very friendly and polite. They are very safety conscious and Iam sure if you act like a knucklehead he would probably kick you out. Just follow safety rules and you will have an enJoyable time at Bracken.
Friendly folks but not much to the operation. Limited supplies but lots of room to shoot. $7 per gun - no auto or rapid fire and no assault pistols. Pistol range was better before they added an awning that is now in the way if you're taller than 5'6".
