This is a Restaurant you must check out for yourself & please enter your own opinion! The food is excellent. The decor is elegant & with soft music in the background. The staff & owners take personal pride in cleanliness & attentiveness! The pricing is very reasonable in comparison to the better high class restaurants. Okay, the food is awesome! This establishment specializes in Mexican Cuisine but also produces some mouth watering additional dishes to tantalize your taste buds! Speaking for the "Menu" items Dinner for one person meal is under $8.00 plus drink, tax & tip. They have Grilled items such as Alambres, Pollo a la Parrilla & Southwest Chicken! Under Non-Grilled they offer Chile Relleno, Enchiladas even Puffy Tacos! They have much more plus the Children's Meals are $4.25. They always have additional dishes list on a board when you come in that are priced accordingly. They just had a Valentine's Day Dinner that was $15.99 plus drink, tax & tip! You should have been there! The presentation was utterly awesome!!!!!!! You had a choice of either, Prime Rib, Grilled Salmon, 10oz. Rib-Eye Steak or Breaded Stuffed ChickenBreast! Served with vegetables, potatoes, roll, self-served soup and salad, plus one complimentary Dessert! Everything was fantastic according to the customers! What did I have? My favorite Prime Rib, "Oh so good; Oh so tender; Oh so flavorful!" Plus the presentation was "Out of this world!" The self-serve area was also presented with professionalism! They did not miss a beat in perfection! No reservations were required and they was no pushing and shoving! The flow was constant and no one had to wait for seating! Outstanding job goes to Ted & Vandora Chapa, (Owners), and their mighty staff of professional people! Now back to business as usual, you can eat lunch for under $7.00 plus drink, tax & tip! This IS truly a place you need to check out! By the way they can also accommodate Luncheons, Dinner groups, Church groups including Private Buffets! Oh before I forget try their "Fresh Lemonade" you will want more!
It all starts when you pull up to the parking lot you couldn't feel safer with all the SAPD, Marshal, and Sheriff cars in the front patrolling ,you won't find no fat guy on a scooter watching your ride here!!! And you are greeted by alot of nice folk waiting in the front enjoying there cold beverages and smoking a blunt filled with the finest tabacco to open the door for you. The inside is like a mini Vegas with there top of the line arcade card and poker machines and a gourmet fried chicken and BBQ resturant toward the back of the store you cant go wrong! They have awesome prices and if you come often they let you walk out with your items for free and pay later now that's service, they even have the best gas prices in town when they do have some they may be out of super sometimes but the service never is so come down and see for yourself, the only thing that gets shot out front of this corner store are music videos at times so bring the family and you be telling your friends that you been there before the Travel Channel was because we all know that after being on the Travel Channel it goes straight down hill from there so go while there still awesome,it will be the spot to get your milk and eggs for years to come I guarantee
I paid a visit to this shop during July for some supplies I needed. I went back in October to have a reading done. I don't do many reviews on restaurants or shops however I feel the need to review La Caridad. This shop is in the perfect location in San Antonio. It is set up in a boutique area so the shop itself is set up as a boutique something I loved the first time I visited. Monica who runs the front of the store is so friendly and helpful you feel no uncomfortness or pressure while here. I had my reading done by their shops Babalawo. Now being familiar with the religion I expected my reading to be done by a Santero/a or a Spiritualist never in a million years did I think I would get a reading from a Babalawo. It was a truly remarkable experience. I have visited a few shops in San Antonio for supply but none have made me feel at home or as comfortable as La Caridad.
Best pharmacy around, for many reasons.1. You really get a true, small town pharmacy feel. the owner/pharmacist knows you by name and show genuine care and concern. its not like the bigger name pharmacies that feel rushed and impersonal, its "your" pharmacy.2. Fast, Fast, Fast. usually our medicine is ready by the time we drive there from the doctor (who is right down the road), or withing a few minutes. 3. Helpful. Its not just "here you are, take 2 a day", he makes sure you know what you are taking, why you need it, and how it works. Even for otc medicine, he will take the time to find them, explain them, and help you pick what is right for you.All in all, this pharmacy is a great addition to the area, and our go-to place for prescriptions, otc medicine, and quick groceries and snacks.
My husband & I visited the location out Blanco Rd at just past 8:00 to be told the buffet was over; they were making no more pizza for that. Second time this happened. Well no wonder the place wasn't busy at all on a Sat night! The thing is- they didn't seem to care at all that we were not happy & leaving. We expected it to be quite crowded really with the last of the Spurs playoff games on. That's how this location used to be. And they'd ask if they could make you a certain kind of pizza- used to always be a nice visit. I wouldn't be surprised to see it closed soon w/ "no buffet after 8:00". That's just too early. They close at 10:00. They're doing this for their convenience, not the customers, like so many businesses do these days. Good luck Dave's but we're not going back.
Now When we want a nice diner or lunch we go to Meson. The food is very very good we was there a few days ago for diner and to day we went for lunch We ordered the Ceasar Salad for two prepared table side and their lunch day special which was crab meat sauteed with a reduction of batter and wine with a hint of east indian spices, friend order the grilled salmon which was fresh and juicy, the Ice Tea and lemonade was the best we ever have, we complement the waiter and he said they use Kangen Water to make their tea, coffee and their thing in the restaurant. They have a full bar with very large wine list at very good price and private room for meeting. The place is beautiful and the people are nice.We recommend
I came here for lunch on a Thursday. The line was out the door for ordering but it moved pretty well. I ordered the lunch special. Two slices with a coke. Pretty good deal. ($6 after adding 2 toppings on each slice.) The pizza was very good. It had a thin crisp crust. I wanted to get a refill on coke but there was a line of people waiting to get their first cokes so I ended up not getting a refill. (I’m not sure if they charge for refills.)I was warned that the employees can be rude. (Kind of like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.) I didn’t really experience any rudeness.By noon it was very crowded so get there early for lunch.Overall good. Not my #1 favorite pizza in town but a CLOSE second.I would go back.
It was just ok. I had the lunch special of 2 slices + side salad. Salad and pizza were good, but not great. The crust on pizza was thin but not crunchy...I liked that, but it needed more cheese and sauce. I also took an order of Chicken Picatta to go. It was not what I expected. It was a super thin pan seared chicken cutlet with capers on top...no butter sauce or anything. It came with slightly overcooked spaghetti noodles and a little marinara sauce. I wouldn't suggest this menu item. The service was good. The place is very tiny and very hot. There is seating outside, but it was 100+ degrees so we didn't choose to sit outdoors.
The first time I've been to this place was awesome and this bar amazed me with the people that's in there. I had a good night spending time there.Karaoke was sounds great,The Karaoke jock play every request i asked, and they have friendly bartendersI don't know why some people said some bad things about this bar, maybe the one that post a comment here show some low life manners to that place that's why when they refuse them they think the people that working on that place disrespect them but the real reason is they are the one ( drunked customer) that's has a problem.Anyways, my friends and I still enjoying To go at that place :)
This place is cool. I like the NY style attitudes...to an extent. The pizza is good, it's not my favorite though. I see that many feel this is a good NY style pizza...I've never been to NY so I really don't know. But if it is, I think that style is just not my thing. I did love the crust...it was thin and crisp, but not cracker like. I liked the sauce, but I prefer more cheese. And as for the toppings, they were good but I prefer mine baked onto the pizza. The meat toppings are baked on, but the veggies are added after baking. All in all, it's good if that's what type you are looking for.
