This place was excellent, I have been wary of eating there, because of previous bad experiences with other restaurants that have occupied this location. Add to that, I'm extremely hard to please when it comes to restaurants. I ordered their Enchiladas Verdes lunch special for 3.99. It was MA…
I grew up in San Antonio and throughout my lifetime have lived all over the world; but when I come home to Texas I have to have my Jacala. \r \r Jacala has been in business since 1949 and their food and service has ALWAYS been consistently great!! You will not find a better plate of Tex-Mex an…
I ordered the chile relleno dinner and it was delicious. I wanted the mole sauce instead of the enchilada sauce on the enchilada. They changed without a question. The pan dulce was delicious too.
We have been to Matamoros a few times now since we've moved to San Antonio. We have always had a great experience. First time we went was on a Saturday night for the salsa dancing. The band is great. We have since gone back for lunch and dinner and have always really enjoyed our food and service…
Visiting San Antonio over the weekend from LA. Read the reviews and made an effort to find this place, and we were not disappointed. The tamales, salsa, and tortillas are amazing. If you love Mexican food, this place is a must when visiting San Antonio.
22. Taqueria Mexico
Went with my family on Sunday, they took about 25min. to bring our food...wrong order..order flour tortillas they gave us corn tortillas. My menudo has cheese and some small pices of tomatoes, I complaint to the owner, she got upset with me, her answer was, " Well we had alot of people" and she …
We are and now were customers of El Tropiko but on this particular morning we had breakfast at home. The morning begins, with an empty tank of gas, we stopped at the Shell Gas Station next door to the restaurant to get gas and my son needed to use the restroom but couldn't wait any longer. The c…
Pretty good food, but very slow service. When we were ready to go although we were the only people in the restaurant it took the staff a good 10-15 minutes to figure out the bill and take our money.
El Rodeo provided me with excellent food and service! I had the steak and shrimp Parrillada (#32 on the menu)... Extremely delicious! It came on TWO plates; one had the steak and shrimp, and the other had beans, rice, guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes. The service was great too. They brought the menu and nacho chips, cheese and salsa (all still piping hot) and took my order within the first two minutes after I arrived. The food was served in less than 10 minutes. The waitress and manager came by my table about four times to ask how the food was and to check if I needed anything. El Rodeo will definitely be one of my regular stops.
I am Native New Mexican And this place hits the Spot!! Tastes just like our Food back home that I know and love. The service is Top notch Just like the food I Highly recommend The Enchiladas!! Thank you guys for bringing my Childhood food to Texas!!
The food is very fresh and delicious and they give large portions! They have the best Caldo/ chicken, squash soup/in town. We eat there or take out at least once a week. Great place!!
They brought me a chalupa with no refried beans and no cheese. Only dried chicken, some iceberg lettuce and a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes. It was uneatable.
We loved going to Lapuntada's. The owner was very polite and the food was delicious. Now new owners and new name. They are very rude and do not speak English. My wife refuses to go back. My son was there and had to wait an hour for his order and he said they were very rude to him. He also refuses to go back. My question is this, what happened to speaking English in America? What happened to being polite to your customers?
Wasn’t expecting such great food. Highly recommend
Amazing food and atmosphere. Service not so good. Potato kegs and burgers are amazing. Convenient location.
if you are out with friends drinking and nothing eles is open then you won't mind the food and service
