The management staff here is awful, lazy, ignorant and rude. I have had to call them for a week or more to try to find out how much my rent is, because they would try to overcharge me. The gate is always broken. There is no parking because parking permits are not enforced. There are auto burglaries all the time. The parking lot is really dark at night. They don't have a security guard. A while ago there was a carjacking in the parking lot in broad daylight. Be warned.

Watch out, as the other review have said, they kept my entire $750 deposit even though I cleaned the place thoroughly and left it in better shape than when I moved in the previous year. I should have paid attention to what the other reviews said.

THEY FAILED TO INFORM ME BEFORE MY MOVING IN THAT THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS RAN UNDER ONE HOT WATER BOILER, AND MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE NO HOT WATER! THESE PEOPLE ARE MAJOR SLUM LORDS, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM DROUGHT PROPERTIES, ALL UNITS UNDER THEM AND STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTWAY MANOR APTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT
Horrific experience with this agency! The place was filthy when I moved in so I cleaned and cleaned for literally days. When I moved out I left the apartment in significantly better shape, and yet Amberson charged me all sorts of bogus fees and kept my entire deposit and then refused to return any phone calls or emails. Extremely disappointed with the dishonesty and poor business ethics of this company--avoid at all costs!!!
This property is old and poorly insulated, in the winter the down stairs area gets unbearably cold. The sliding glass doors as well as all of the windows are very drafty and need to be replaced. The plumbing and piping needs to be replaced. Had to have the maintenance to clear the drains on more than two occasions. Valves on the toilets upstairs had to be replaced more than once, and they painted right over the tile in the baths instead of replacing old molded tiles. The management is hardly ever on the property and hard to reach. The maintenance is ok but there is only so much you can do to an old worn out property. The water bill is divided up among every one on the property whether you use it or not, my bill more than doubled in less than a year. As far as the security there is none and the gate is almost always open. Don't be fooled by the cosmetics as there are some upgrades but these apartments need to be gutted and redone.
Over the past couple years there have been a ton of vehicle burglaries here. Management has never bothered to hire any kind of security. All they ever do is report it to the police and put out reward notices. I'm afraid for my family's safety, and we will be moving ASAP.
Ugh! After living here for a year, I can honestly say I wish we had taken our time looking. To say the least, the remotes for the gates wouldn't work, and the office staff wouldn't exchange them, however, that wasn't really a problem because the gates didn't work either and they were open most of the time. We even had a couple of break ins to the cars in the parking lot. However, the worse part, were the over charges upon moving out. We received a statement with $400 in charges we were not responsible for, which we are disputing, but so far they are not responding. Not fair!!
