I have studied the Bible for almost 50 years with over 30 of that in the ministry. It was my privilege to be introduced to Ariel Ministries at a prophecy conference in 1979. This was soon after I had left seminary where I had sat under the some of the same professors that Dr. Fruchtenbaum has studied with during his time at Dallas Theological Seminary and later some who had been his professors. Those some of them were critical of his stance on certain areas of prophecy they did not offer a better explanation of the issue. For almost 20 years I met a number of people, both scholars and those in the pews, who were aware of his teaching and they seemed to be mostly skeptical of his offering. In the last ten years there has been a major change in what I have been hearing. I have seen Dr. Fruchtenbaum's writings on many pastor's shelves and his writings quoted in many of the articles that I have read. It has been my privilege to host Dr. Fruchtenbaum in my home and the churches that I have pastored. For the last fourteen years I have served as the Protestant Chaplain at a California State Prison. Arnold has, on three occasions, delivered seminiars on the Word of God to the inmates at the prison. His materials are the most popular of all that they can obtain from the chapel libraries. Of all of the teachers I have been privileged to study under, Arnold has been to one that has opened my understanding of the Bible. I would encourage anyone who is serious aobut their Bible study to contact Ariel on the phone or at www.ariel.org.

From Business: Bandera Road Community Church, founded in 1992, offers musical worship, relevant biblical teaching, and corporate prayer and communion. The church offers a variety of ministries for children, students, college and young adults, singles, women, men, and small groups. It also has good sense, community care, and recovery mini…
We would have stayed in this church for good had the senior pastor Robert C. Emmitt not mix religion with politics. On a number of Sundays, he made comments addressing Washington "spending money they don't have", taxation, fiscal issues and conservative politics. We got a strong impression that pastor Bob Emmitt is a 'teabagger', i.e. a member of the Tea Party. How come John Valenzuela, the third preacher, is not mentioned in Staff section? There was no acknowledgment of him anywhere except only in the Service Times page. I hope it's not because he's not a WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) and/or doesn't have a WASP-sounding name. That will be a shame!
After trying out countless churches in San Antonio, this is the one. The people are genuinely friendly and real. They share their ups and downs and support each other. Small groups meet for dinners, house gatherings, and time to know one another. The teaching comes straight from the Bible, section by section, not just words picked out here and there combined with one person's spin. Many in the congregation have spent their lives studying, even obtaining Bible degrees, in order to be more useful in the church and to teach others. Many opportunities here for community work and missions.
God is moving at Victory Temple in a mighty way. There is a fresh annointing of the Holy Spirit on Pastor Jubal Garcia (Freddie Garcia's son)....The vision of the church is to reach out to the unreachable and love the unloveable, just like Jesus did...Freddie Garcia humbled himself before God over 40 years ago and God has used this man to point countless men and women to Christ and the finished work of the cross and Christ has delivered them from the power of drugs(sin). There is NO match to the Power of Christ and that is what they teach at Victory Temple. Please come visit.....
Solid church with a history of being grounded in scripture and missions. The long and godly legacy (30+ years) of Pastor Troxel is now being followed by Pastor Poupart with the same Biblical grounding and relevant applicability to every day life. Every church goes through cycles, and there was kind of a "down" period after Pastor Troxel's retirement, but Wayside now seems to be in a time of spiritual and energy growth. There are many good churches in San Antonio, but Wayside fits our family well.
I came to San Antonio from Colorado in 2001 and spent several months visiting churches in the area. I found a home at Wayside on my first visit. The people were exceptionally welcoming, and the worship and teaching were solid. I respect Wayside for taking stands on cultural issues that are clearly outlined in the Bible. Many churches in this day and age tend to shy away from controversial topics. Wayside will cover these topics, but will do so with sensitivity and grace.
Looking for a church home, then CBC is the place for you. Whether you attend the weekly services or immerse yourself into one of the many life groups at CBC, God has a place for you in this ministry and all of his creations are welcomed in this church. The main worship service led by Ray Jones and the CBC choir is always an uplifting worship time and honor to our Lord! Our Senior Pastor, Robert Emmitt, well words are hard to describe the man, after all he is an Aggie! Gig-em.
What an amazing church service, the message was fantastic! I am also so glad to see a modern-day church caring about the community and giving to those in need. To Mr. J, People really shouldn't make judgemental statements about people they do not know and places they have only visited once, it's not Christian, and my experience was definitely not at all like you described.
The Lord is truly in this place. If people still believe that God still works miracles, healing and blessings, then they should visit this church. The singing, the praising, THE WORD and THE LOVE shown there is awesome. It's not about the man but the God that uses this man of god. Go visiit I gaurantee you'll feel the presence of THE LORD!
First church I attended after being stationed at Lackland AFB in 1980. They had an elementary school back then so not sure if same today. Solid, Biblical foundational teaching as most Bible Baptist's are. Wish they had their Service Times here for better planning of arrival. TSgt David Blakley CA Air National Guard
