YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

From Business: The Lewis Funeral Home was founded by the late Mr. Frank E. Lewis on May 15, 1909. The firm operated as "Frank E. Lewis, Funeral Director" until 1947 when a partnership was formed with Vernon E. Larremore and the firm name was changed to Lewis Funeral Home.
I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at Southwest Funeral Home, they are truly a reflection of God's love. They demonstrated understanding and compassion at a time when our family was in deep pain and sorrow. My brother Rogelio ""Roy"" Rocha was very special to our family, the fun…

Wonderful funeral home in the Oak Hill area. So convenient for our family that lives in the medical center!
Mission Park was very polished and professional, they did an excellent job serving our needs after my mother died. Their costs were very reasonable and we were even able to save money. Everyone was very kind and extremely thoughtful. The aftercare and grief support programs were so helpful to our family. Our family decided to prearrange our funerals with Mission Park so our children wont have to make decisions during a difficult time. Thank you to everyone at Mission Park for taking care of our family for generations.
Everyone at Mission Park was so caring and thoughtful during such a difficult time for our family. They even worked within our budget and allowed us to bring refreshments to the visitation. Thank you to everyone at Mission Park for all the care and concern you've demonstrated to our family.
Mission Funeral Home on Cherry Ridge did a horrible job with preparation of the body of my mother, O. Carrillo. I heard they ALLOWED THE BODY TO SIT FOR DAYS BEFORE IT WAS PREPARED. Her mouth was stretched out from one side of her face to the other. Even the color of her face was between a yellow and grey. That was very painful and embarrassing for us, The Carrillo Family to go through. At the church service, the director had an angry attitude that really surprised me too. ...never again Mission, never again
Castle Ridge Mortuary 8008 W. Military RD.San Antonio, Texas, 78201September 24, 2014Anna,My Grandfather John Henry use to say, “It is fair worse being treated as a Ni**er, than to be called one”. He also instructed me to not become indignant, demote myself to acts of physical altercations, or allow said individual who is treating me as a Ni**er to get the best of me. Instead to use the negativity to progress positively toward learning a life lesson, to propel forward. The purpose of this letter is to actually thank you, for treating me as a Ni**er. I thank you because you are the main reason why I decided to achieve two college degrees simultaneously, acquire numerous certifications, and professional licenses. Every time I wanted to give up, was too tired to study, or became frustrated. I thought of you, and found the strength to continue. Anna, upon your non-introduction at Castle Ridge Mortuary, you were/are hailed as the most hated individual to have ever worked there. However, I tried my best to include you, speak to you, associate with you, and even gave you the benefit of the doubt in spite of the masses distaste for you. Anna, you chastised me as if I was a child, directly before a marketing presentation. I've asked you several times to not speak to me, as if I were stupid. You refuse to answer my calls or texts from my personal phone. Thus causing me to call you from the office phone, or having a Funeral Director contact you on my behalf. You literally micro-manage my Grief Sessions, trying to find fault where none to be found. The most remembered memory I will never forget of you, is how you incited the horrific verbal exchange, and walkout of Ricardo Sanchez. The day before I was fired as the Marketing Coordinator you falsely informed him, that I was not willing to work with you, was asking you personal information about yourself, and was not properly doing my job. I HATED you, absolutely hated you. In addition, I realized that you were indeed treating me as a Ni**er. I have/am/will reference my encounters with you, in my community, social circles, church, family, and friends. Hopefully, the story of Anna Campos will inspire them to excel in life, and not succumb to temporary anger. I no longer hate you, because of the early childhood teachings from my grandfather. As I transition to my new direction in life, I am grateful for you. I have secured an optimum job position, relocation, respect, admiration, and most importantly I am not treated as a Ni**er. Anna, your penance in life is that you have made yourself an “island” an unreachable, unlovable, unobtainable, cold, secluded, isolated, and dismal island of pure utter sadness. I honestly would not wish this life on my worst enemy, not even you. This is your life, you chose it, and will remain in this fashion until the bitter end. I have taught my clients that the dead do not speak. Meaning their legacy depends on the words of others. Your legacy of recollection from me is, that you were one of the ones who treated me as a Ni**er. The person who challenged my ability to control my emotions, enhanced my intellect, and as a reflective to use throughout life as a directive to progress in spite of negativity and I thank you.Sincerely, Will Steen
My family has used this funeral home for years, but I attended a funeral a few weeks back for my friends mother and for lack of a better word the service was appalling. I will not get into detail but these are a few of the things I noticed, there was no funeral director present for the service. People were not kept out of the viewing to the families request, they wanted time alone and this was not honored. After the rosary which started early there was no closing statement from the funeral home which would have given direction to the people in attendance. The facility did not have the equipment they did they would provide to the family as far as a table and linen. Most of the family did not receive prayer cards. Now before the funeral home tries to sue me, this is what "I" noticed and "I" experienced, all which are based on fact, this is a very decent funeral home but improvements are needed.
HORRIBLE to deal with--would not honor their contract. Was told if total funeral wasn't paid for up front, it would have to be rescheduled at a different time. The family is waiting for VA benefits to help pay for the funeral. Basically they held the body hostage until it was paid for with our credit card. Person died August 29th and family is still waiting for death certificates. I give them 0 ZERO stars for a rating.
I've actually come here several times throughout my life for various loved ones funerals. They are a very clean, well maintained facility that were more then ready to accommodate my families needs those tragic times. This is the only funeral home I've ever been to in my life, but this will be the funeral home of my choice for myself and my immediate family.
No one wants to have to use the services from a business like this, but at some point, we all have to. Recently, my family experienced a loss and were blessed to find Mission Park to help us through it. The staff was immediately attentive, working late hours on a weekend to help plan services and get the obituary into all the applicable newspapers. The day of the service, everything ran very smoothly. The staff was welcoming and sympathetic to the necessary parties and went above and beyond
