This place SUX! DO NOT MOVE HERE!! IF YOU PUTR A DEPOSIT DOWN AND BACK OUT CAUSE YOU READ POOR REVIEWS ABOUT THE MGT, THEY WILL KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT. ALL OF IT!! THEY WILL ACT NICE UNTIL YOU GIVE A DEPOSIT. THEN THEY WILL IGNORE YOUR CALLS AND BECOME DISRECPECTFUL SUDDENLY!!! save yourself from the torment and stress and stay away. Don't be fooled by the place. Looks good but get a closer look and you will see that they are rude women working here and if you want anything from them, haha good luck! Very disappointed.
I have lived here at 4000 Horizon Hill Blvd since 2014. The first few years I lived here I really enjoyed it. The office personnel was great and if something needed to be fixed maintenance was as quick as possible to get it done. Well over this last year this property has gone through New Management. I was then notified that I am one of a few apartments that have not been paying the correct amount of rent! So I go in to the office to discuss this situation with them to no avail. I told them the truth which was I came in person to pay my rent and paid what YOUR PERSONAL told me to pay every month. Now your trying to fix your books because Your Old Management Team was not competent but it is my fault (the renter) that paid her rent every month. How can you claim it was my FAULT and NOT the fault of the Management Team they FIRED!! They have continued to harass me every month when Rent is Due!!! I am not trying to win a contest here I just want to live in piece and pay my dues but I will not pay for a MISTAKE that clearly was not my doing nor the doing of the other tenants involved. I am not talking about one or two hundred dollars but HUNDREDS of DOLLARS the Management Team is trying to charge me for back rent! With all this said I would just beware of this apartment complex because they DON’T seem to be an HONEST Company. I am still under contract with them but cannot wait for my what feels like MY JAIL TIME to be up!! After years and years living here you would think they try to keep the professional people here but nope they only want the people they can get over on to live here in this complex. So NEW RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!! This is no longer a half descent place to live when you cannot trust your Management Team.
7 weeks ago we moved into a nightmare apt. I swept dirt and cleaned for 3 days before we could move anything in. We immediately put in maintenance orders for the dishwasher, faulty ceiling fan, washer that doesn't cycle all the way, gaps in our doors, etc. We've had a Regional Mgr walk thru and her first response to me was, "Are we going to be able to please you?"..."We're not going to be able to please you, are we?" Yes, I can be pleased but I'm living in an apartment with so many deficiencies and 7 weeks in we're still waiting helplessly. The advertised 2 car garage does not fit both of our cars and the spot in front of our garage is too short to park a vehicle legally. The few common spaces are always taken, some by vehicles that haven't moved in weeks. The air quality in our home is poor, proven by our Oreck filter system. We have paint droplets splattered throughout the unit on absolutely everything! I have spent weeks peeling, wiping and cleaning the walls, floors, and doors. We're paying over $2000/mo, it's brand new, we expected luxury not nightmare. The Regional Mgr informed me we got a "courtesy replacement" of our water filter. Well it was only 5 weeks old when it ran out so I'm guessing it wasn't a brand new fridge (also had uneven doors and pre-cracked/stained shelves.) Everything in the kitchen is scratch and dent quality. The "custom cabinets" are thin and cheap; only "custom" as a legal term because they were designed specifically for this space. Designer lighting is popping on us daily and won't stay on. Luxurious bathrooms are as basic as they come, the granite countertops are pre-chipped, unsealed and pitted in every room, and finally the faux wood floor is simply laminate that scratches easily and is installed poorly. Overall it's embarrassing. Many flaws were present when we walked thru but the leasing agent reminded me they hadn't "finished yet" & the "unit will be ready for the walk thru." Staff is very friendly but their product is sad
I found this company knowing we need to move out in a few months since we were having a hard time to find a good place to live at. Our agent name is Mrs. Teira E. she's wonderful and her service is unbeatable! During our consultation; she was very flexible and responsive to the questions we had and preferences. Teira actually found several apartments that we like especially the price but had to wait until a certain time knowing our move in date was quite ahead of time. She met our criteria in what we were looking for. When the day came to look at apartments we didn’t need a huge list it was unbelievable that she knew off the bat what exactly we were looking for. We went with her to check out the apartments. It was a phenomenal day knowing we were undecided which one to choose at first but we aim for the right place we just knew it had to be the one.Teira is the absolute BEST real estate agent!!! She provides total dedication, responsiveness to her clients, professionalism and excellent knowledge in what she does. Anyone that is looking for an apartment we really recommend for you to choose this young woman. You won’t regret it at all trust us. We were new to this and we don’t regret anything. We have a good landlord who explained us everything but the best part our agent that helped us since day one continues being there for us. She’s the best, the sweetest with lots of patience. We couldn’t be happier with her commitment to helping us find our new apartment to call home. *Once you walk in there’s always someone available to greet you and immediately explains you how their company works if you haven't called for questions. Everyone is always happy and really nice. There are two different addresses but my agent is at 11255 Huebner Road
Under new management, Teri, I have seen an improvement to the property. Also. My ac went out and she was able to get it fixed same day. I really appreciated that

This is the worst place you can ever rent; don't get scam by their specials and deals, they are going to charge you a lot of money when you move out and will threaten to sue you if you don't pay them.
Getting maintenance out in a timely fashion is impossible. Complex is old; mold and roach invested. Save yourself the headache don’t rent from here.

Were we notified when the Conservice system failed to properly transfer funds on time? No. We've been paying rent manually ever since by check, which I've had to request sign receipts for every month.I fail to understand the rationale for a charge of this nature. It sounds to me as though Cross Mountain is attempting to profit upon a third party insurance provider, or by way of arbitrary paperwork management, which suffice to say has been poor thus far at best (e.g. Move in application approval process).I'd like to believe we're not being treated as a profit center, but rather as responsible Residents.------------------------------------In response to (email from Cross Mountain Management):"Please give us a call so we can discuss this matter.I don't think you lapsed. But, because you have your own insurance company not the one we recommend it is your responsibility to get us the declaration page. We like to send out a notice when we are made aware that it has expired as a courtesy."---------------------Being emailed two weeks AFTER you want some form of arbitrary paperwork is a courtesy???FAKE MANAGEMENT
Great apartment complex, horrible management. We have had service calls not get done after 3 weeks to several months and only were done after management was reminded. They charge monthly fees for pest control yet hardly ever treat the units, and we have had a roach problem the entire time we have lived here. They charge a monthly pet rent for what seems like no reason at all. Dog park is in horrible condition and the plastic doggy bags are always out. Pet deposit is among the highest I have ever seen and is non-refundable so obviously the pet rent is excessive. I probably wouldn't have as much of a problem paying the pet rent if I knew I was getting quality service each month in regards to maintenance. In addition to the monthly "Pet rent," they charge an extremely excessive service fee of $25 for simply walking to your door and posting a notice on it. It has become fairly obvious to me that this management company will gouge its residents for anything it can, with the minimum amount of work it takes to run a property.
