My family and I recently visited San Antonio for the fiestas and came across this place. We are from Taos, New Mexico and were pleasantly surprised! The food tastes just like home and the red and green Chile was amazing, so happy Texas has a great place for New Mexican food.
Visiting San Antonio over the weekend from LA. Read the reviews and made an effort to find this place, and we were not disappointed. The tamales, salsa, and tortillas are amazing. If you love Mexican food, this place is a must when visiting San Antonio.

We have been to Matamoros a few times now since we've moved to San Antonio. We have always had a great experience. First time we went was on a Saturday night for the salsa dancing. The band is great. We have since gone back for lunch and dinner and have always really enjoyed our food and service…

From Business: Founded in 1978, we have been fire-roasting our famous salsa and mixing our legendary margaritas for 35 years, serving an average of 450 guests daily—that’s right, 6,000 (or more) happy diners enjoy the restaurant each week. That’s an amazing feat for a San Antonio Mexican restaurant that started as little more than a taco…

From Business: We are a couple of dudes from Mexico, that always have fallen for GENUINE MEXICAN FOOD. The food we eat when we arrive home, the food that was cooked by our mothers and grandmothers. Living in the US let us discover all those attempts to mimic what many believe is mexican food. Some are close, we have to say, but very few …

Food is awesome! The customer service is also great.
I love their food... Been going there for years.Their breakfast tacos are Very Good. And the price is nice too. ;)
They make the tortillas there and all other ingredients are fresh made from scratch. I live the chips n queso! Brisket taco is ok but the chicken bacon ranch is really good. Chicken flautas with queso is great! Best chips we've had in Texas trip. Prices are good too. We could feed family of 9 for under $20. Friendly service.
Good food, & service in this restaurant.
I have been going to this restaurant for well over 20 years and everything about the food and service has only got better.
Experience in there was very good. The only thing is that left over alfredo chicken and pasta re-heated turned out OILY the sauce just turned to oil. I threw it out. I guess fresh will always be better.
Good food at a great price!!🌮
