I had lenses made for 2 pairs of frames. The first was supposed to be sunglasses. Dark brown, gradient tint. The tint stops in the upper third of the lenses. I accepted them because I was desperate, since my old sunglasses had broken.the second pair was supposed to have transition lenses that darken in the sunlight.I've been wearing glasses for 45 years, so I know what I ordered. They used to be called photo sun lenses because they turn very dark in the light. These, which were not available on the quoted delivery date, are more like what they used to call photo gray lenses, because they barely darken at all.I took them back, sat and waited while the clerk went outside with them to see for herself. She came back and announced that they do darken, and acted as if I was crazy. "They aren't going to get DARK dark."That's funny, because the ones I got elsewhere last year did.We spend a lot of money at Sam's, and I like shopping there, but their optical service is lousy.I gave them 2 stars because they at least got the prescription right.
