I went in to this location for my vehicle inspection/registration renewal and I highly recommend you do the same. These guys are very reasonable as far as price but the service was really the awesome factor. Rusty, was the tech that had helped me, and he seemed to be having long day of training a new employee, in addition to being the first day of the month when those tags come to expire. The techs stayed easily 2 hour past the store closing time just to ensure all of the vehicles made it back to the customers that evening. He was very considerate and communicative to me as a customer, and was very professional considering the stress that he must have felt. This shop is the best! I love local family run businesses. They truly know what customer service means. Scott has been working on all of our cars for 14 years. The minute we have a car that is no longer under warranty, we always take it to Scott for repairs. His prices are almost always half of what the dealership charges. They also handle all of our general maintenance for all cars. It's nice to be treated with honesty and respect and not have to play the dealership games.
Me and my family have been going here for years. They are always honest and up front with everything that needs to be done. Avoid the horrible chains like jiffy lube that will always try to find 100 things that need to be fixed and you end up paying $500 for what should have been a $40 oil change.
After Nick drained the oil and then put in the new oil, he told me that he didn't have the filter for my car because it is so new (2013 Subaru Legacy which has been the same since 2010) and then asked how I was paying. I asked how much of a discount I would get since they didn't have a filter to change it he said $1. I said, "are you kidding me" and he said "no, that is all the filters cost so that is all I can take off". I asked if he could order one or go get one and he said no and that I would have to go to Subaru to buy one. I said ok but that I would pay half now and the other half after I get the filter and he got it installed. He said no and if he did that he would charge me more for installing the filter. I said, I don't think so and that I would not pay more than half since only half the work was done. He again said the filters only cost him $1 and that I had to pay all but $1. I told him that I was paying for the labor and not just the cost of the filter and that I would only pay half until the filter was installed. He said again that I had to pay the full amount. I then said Okay, would you like to call the police about this matter or would you like me too. He asked me to hold on for a couple of minutes. After less than 2 minutes he came back and said that the filter from the 2012 model Legacy would work and that Subaru just changed the part number on the 2013 to get more people to have to buy them directly from Subaru. He then put it on which only took about a minute. He did not even say he was sorry for putting me through all of that crap and he even had an attitude with me when I was leaving. When I asked if he ran the place he said that he was one of the managers. I hope to be able to talk to one of the other managers or the owner to find out if what all Nick did was company policy or if he was just being a bully and trying to get me to pay full price for only half of the job being done.
