If I wanted to pay top dollar to be seen by a vet tech and only see a vet for 5 mins then some ridiculous price thrown my way I would continue to go to this clinic. Two dogs that have died because they wanted to keep me on the testing slot machine and never treatment. Finally went to Hillside vet where I actually see a vet and we have treatment plans for my aging pack.
A few days ago, we attempted to have out cat's nails cut. She is very difficult and tends to panic under stress. Because of this, the staff was not able to cut any of her nails. But we had already paid, and the employee at the front desk, Paige, refused to refund our money, even though no service had been provided. The technician suggested that we try acepromazine to calm the cat. Paige said that we would have to do an exam, an x-ray and blood work before we would be able to receive the medication, and then we would have to pay again for the prescription, dispensing fees, and the medication, for a grand total of over $400. She was very rude through the whole thing. We returned today and were surprised to find that it was significantly easier to receive the medication. Julie, the employee who helped us today did not charge us because the nails were not cut, and she credited us what we paid last time and put it toward the acepromazine. She is tr uly the only good thing this business has going for it. I have no intention of continuing our business relationship.
I started taking my big boys to Sugarhouse Veterinarian Hospital because of Dr. Barton's expertise with Grayhounds. Ruger and Tigger received great care through the end of their lives. Now we take little Spider there and he has seen all of the doctors at one time or another. The docs, techs and front desk staff take a personal interest in each animal and their human companions. Many thanks for years of wonderful care.

It is always easy taking your pet to Sugarhouse. You are always greeted by nameTand with big smiles! The staff is caring and knowledgeable. All options & prices are discussed with you prior to treatment being given. The doctors always follow through & phone you with your pet's lab results. I feel comfortable knowing that the staff at Sugarhouse cares for my pets as much as I do.

As an owner of 3 cats and 1 dog, I appreciate the friendly, cost-conscious, and thoughtful care I always receive at Sugar House Veterinary. When I had to put a cat to sleep the vet and the nurses were kind and understanding and allowed me as much time as I needed to say goodbye. I trust the people at SHVH to give all my best animal friends the best care.
DO NOT GO HERE! EVER! These "vets" are completely inept. The "techs" are also as inept, but aren't "certified" like the doctors are SUPPOSED to be. Also this place claims AAHA certification. I'm in the process of having that certification evaluated. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I've taken both of my rats to see the doctors at Sugar House and I'm willing to drive all the way from Provo because of their fantastic staff and service. Doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and fantastic to work with. Recently we had a sudden health crisis and they weren't going to get me in until Tuesday (this was Friday) but it was serious and they worked me in immediately and got me all the info and options I needed. I ended up having to put my rat to sleep, but they were so caring and kind about the whole thing--I even got a sympathy card from the whole staff 2 weeks later. I can't say enough good things about everyone at Sugar House!
My personal experience with Sugar House Vet Hospital was excellent. The Doctors and especially the staff made an impression on my. My pets, (3 weiner dogs), don't get upset when we go to see the vet now. Weiner dogs are high strung types if you know what I mean. This means a lot to me. They also have IMHO the best website which is very informative for pet owners with interesting information that is updated frequently with new information.
