Gilson Sprinklers & Snowplow

Very reliable and dependable. I called them and had them come out to help give an estimate on doing only the work I NEEDED to keep my lawn green. They went through my system and found what needed to be replaced, walked me through it and told me why it should be replaced. They gave me an honest quote so I had them go ahead and do the work. Very happy with them, would reccomend.

Our sprinklers were leaking so we called these guys to come look at them. The guy said he needed to replace a part and it was going to be $400. He didn't show me the part until he'd put it on and it was too late to say anything about it. After spending 10-15 minutes on labor he found out another thing was leaking but he said that with that, he didn't want to just replace a valve (because that would be too inexpensive, I assume) and quoted $650 to repair the second leak. He then asked me for my $400, and became angry and began pressuring me when I told him I needed to call my dad to talk to him about the situation since it was looking like it was going to add up to a lot more than we thought…then my husband comes home to find me crying because of how rude the guy was being to me and gave him the money so he'd go away. Come to find out the part was only $50 so he charged me about twice what he should have. When my husband called the manager to dispute the price, the manager was argumentative and hung up on him after refusing to do anything about it. We ended up fixing the second leak by bringing the pipe to home depot and buying a new one for $10.

We called Gilson to repair and expand our sprinkler system. They showed up on time the day after we called them. The work was fast and clean. We asked them to come back and do more later. The second job involved lots of trenching. They worked quickly and cleanly again, and after they left it was hard to tell they had dug up anything at all. We are very satisfied and will use them again.

I called Gilson's to have them replace some valves. They were quick on scene, and very reliable. I felt that the pricing was very reasonable. The technician that came out was very knowledgeable and polite. I will definitely call them again for all my sprinkler repair needs!

Be warned and run the other way! Lied, cheated, and stole from me. Two years ago they told me I needed my stop & waste valve replaced and they replaced it for $600. Nothing improved and now the guy who is working on it says it was never replaced to begin with.

I was calling around for quotes on a new sprinkler installation, and Gilson told me right up front that he doesn't do big installation jobs. He tries to focus on repairs so he doesn't have to manage a big crew.



He also told me what he knew about a few of the other places, though, and I appreciated the free information.

I wish that they could fix all the things that needs to be done at my house. i had a marshland on the side of my house after like 10 minutes when i turned on my winter shutoff valve.

they showed up on time, found out what the problem was, "a broken main line" .

and in a couple hours they had replaced 25 feet of pipes in ground, and fixed the problem I haven't had another problem yet.good job gilson sprinklers!!

If you are looking for anything more then sprinkler head repair, this is not the company for you. We were asking for an estimate for line and head repair and for two new lines added. At first they seemed eager to come. They sent out some one who did not want to give an estimate when they found out there were some lines to replace and new ones to add. The owner did call back and said since we were asking for estimates from other companies, the owner said he didn't like that kind of bussiness and hung up. I'm sure most of this was mis-communication, but the owner was not even interested to find out and he just blew me off, rudely.
