I've been doing business with Hose & Rubber for a long time. These guys know hoses inside and out, and they can get you what you need fast and at a great price.
First let me say I have been going to H&R Supply for my Hyd Hose repair or replacement needs for 13 yrs. The guys that work the counter are Amazing. I have never had a bad experience like that ever. Also the Outside Customer Sales Support can not be beat. I have been a Professional Heavy Equipment Mechanic for 25 years. I put my reputation on the line, every time I use none OEM factory built hoses. This Supplier has never let me down. The Customer Support I have received in house and out in the field during normal business or during any Emergency that arose after hours has always been Satifactory. They are buy far the best place to go when the need is there. They always have had an excellent stocked supply of the specific type of fittings I ever needed. In the few cases where they didn't have it they did whatever they had to go to get at time while I waited, or if not it was delivered to the job site or shop ASAP 24/7. No poor review here and I am a Pro and H&R Supply is my go to Hyd Hose Shop. MIKE K.
So i've been piecing together an oil cooler setup for my racecar and it took an unexpected turn when I found out that the lines I was using were too large to mount on an ordinary sandwich plate, so I had to get an oil filter relocation kit, which required an extra oil line. I jump online to see what prices are for a steel braided oil line and it's about $11/ft, some even included the AN10 fitting I needed. I realize that when I go to parts stores that they usually have to incorporate shipping into their prices, so it usually costs a few extra dollars to pick up locally. A friend reccomended rubber and hose to me so I went down today, brought one of the lines I was using, and asked for the additional line I needed, a 2 foot steel braided line with 1 90* AN10 fitting and a straight AN10 fitting. Without discussing price, the guy at the desk goes and makes the line and rings me up. IT WAS 4X THE PRICE. I tell him I'm unable to pay for that and let him know that I'm willing to pay $11/ft plus fittings. He knocks about $20 off his price, which is still 3x more then I'd pay if I ordered it online. I kindly decline and offer to pay for the other services he did for me, which he declined. As I'm leaving he mutters "waste of f***ing time and fittings anyway." If your high prices weren't enough to drive someone away, your customer service is.
