I called in for my ice maker service. The guy asked for my number to call me back. Five hours went by later, I heard nothing from him. I called him back again and asked what's going on? He asked me to hold on...and then came back and told me that all regular has been booked out till Wednesday. I asked him: " why don't you tell me five hours ago so that I can find someone else..." He said that he can send someone out if I am willing to pay for his over time. What? I am going to pay for his overtime? What kind of chicken $*#t is that? His manpower and schedule issues, why should I pay for his over time? What kind of monkey business is that? He asked if I till want to schedule for someone to come out? Should I still want to do any business with this monkey guy? Never ever to call this company for any service? Awfully BAD!

I own restaurants in Salt Lake and was preparing to open my fourth. I have had extremely bad luck in the past buying used equipment from other restaurant equipment dealers. I had no intention to put any used equipment in my fourth restaurant, but when I walked in and saw what kind of equipment Food Service Supply carried I began to change my mind. A salesman greeted me at the door and asked what I was looking for. I told him everything so he turned me over to the owner. When I walked out I spent over $15,000.00 on used equipment and felt completely comfortable with my purchase knowing I paid pennies on the dollar compared to what I was planning on spending and still was receiving quality equipment. It has been over a year since I opened my fourth location and I am still leasing a ice machine from Food Service Supply and not one item i purchased has even had a hiccup. These guys are highly recommended. I have sent several of my restaurant owner friends over to their place and everyone has thanked me for connecting them with such high quality dealers. If your going to buy used equipment then make sure you buy it from people you can count on.
Absolute worst experience I've had buying restaurant equipment thus far. I decided on a pizza prep table to purchase while I was at their place in SLC. it didn't have a top so he needed a couple of days to have one built. I called back two days later and he said "Let me check on that I'll call you right back". I never got a call back so I tried him again the next day, no answer. I called his partner, Tyson, he was very rude and said he knew nothing about it but he would have Blake call me, no call. I tried again a week later from a different phone number, Blake answered with pretty much the same response, "Oh uh, ya they should be finished with that, I'll go check on it and call you right back ok?". I asked him to please call me back because I needed the table a week ago. Nothing. It is very unfortunate because these guys have a good supply of used equipment., but the worst understanding of ethical business I've ever seen. We figure we will be spending about $40k on equipment over the next 6 months and this was our first purchase. I'll never go back.
I have been going to Food Service Supply for all my equipment needs for 3 years now. Even before they were at their current location. I know I can call Blake and he can find exactly what I am looking for at a great price that is more than fair. Food Service Supply has grown a lot since I first started buying things there but they still treat me with the same customer service that I remember when I bought equipment for my restaurant when we first opened. Keep it up Food Service Supply and you will always be the first place I go for equipment.
Don't use these people! I got the absolute worst service ever, and they not only billed me twice (American Express fixed that) but the over-charged and way under-delivered. They billed my for 'finding my place' and that was after getting there 3 days later than they told me when they would come.They charged me too much, did lousy service, and ruined my floor from the leak they caused working on my dish sanitizer.Please learn from my mistake and avoid these guys.
