CCS was established in 1970 by Salinas native Jeff Meeks. Jeff worked at a collection agency in Fresno while studying business administration at California State University at Fresno and continued his education at California University at Berkeley while working at the Credit Bureau of Salinas. Jeff soon decided to take a chance by going on his own and purchase a small agency by the name of Lindey’s Collection Service. Shortly after purchasing Lindey’s he changed the name to Credit Consulting Services, Inc.

Credit Consulting Services Inc updated their website to force consumers to make recurring payments at amounts CCS decides. I have a Term of Agreement dated May 19, 2015, to pay $43.05 per month. The CCS website violates my Term of Agreement with the agency. The website leaves no minimum payment options. I made several attempts to make a $50 non-reoccurring payment. The website REFUSED every attempt. I have been making regular monthly payments in different amounts (never less than the T of A) since I started paying off the debt. Credit Consulting Services Inc. stopped sending me monthly paper statements claiming the statements were being redirected back to their agency. I have not had ANY of my other mail sent back to the senders. I called last month in November and requested the paper statements be sent along with a complete statement of payments made to date. CCS sent the requested information. My current statement minimum payment amount is $43.05. I make payments that vary from $50-$300 monthly and I have NEVER missed one payment. The website also directed me to contact the agency to make a payment if I could not make the payments stated on the website. I have already made my arrangements prior to them changing their website. I will pay the amount I determine no less than the minimum due if I am not able to pay what CCS is demanding. I will not call personally unless I take my complaints as high up their corporate ladder as possible and my online complaints will continue. The website is for online payments. If I wanted to make mail payment I could have done so all along.

Credit Counseling Services is an excellent company. We submitted two files and received a payout of one file and payments from the other file in less than 90 days. We will be sending all our collections files to CCS from now on. Dawn Campbell, Account Manager is especially helpful. Dawn guided me through the process to set up our account and get us started. I felt confident in CCS from all of Dawn's interactions. She is a true professional and their company gets results. I highly recommend this company for anyone look to collect on accounts that are past due or where the client has skipped out on making payments.

We have used Credit Consulting Services for more than 25 years and they have done an outstanding job! Dealing with a local company is an important factor to me, but results and a high percentage of recovery is my highest priority, and with CCS, both apply. They service both our private party and commercial accounts all over the U.S. and has the latest technology available to better service my needs. Not only do they provide great personal service, they also have a very user-friendly online service with downloading and sorting capabilities. I love it!



With a trimmed staff, their Letter Service is a great tool for me as well. It produces positive results on those accounts that want to avoid direct collection. CCS is always there to assist me with any credit/collection questions I may have and am confident that their information is the most current available. I highly recommend them as your ONLY source for outside collection service.
