We drive up from Lebanon regularly to eat at the Tin Tin . Dinner is best because they have great seafood and other dinner items that we especially like. We have tried other buffets in Salem with not good results :( the Chuck Wagon is ok pretty plain and flavorless though and we had the worst experience while eating at The Great Wall buffet :( the waiter was hacking and spitting in a hand wash sink right behind us in the middle of the restaurant needless to say we got up and left :(

My boyfriend his son and I decieded to try somewhere new today tin tin buffet was the wrong choice. Our mistake for not walking through to look at the food first but nothing i mean nothing was good the fried rice was yellow and flavorless, sweet and sour chicken was soggy, springrolls you can buy frozen at walmart and the list goes on needless to say we walked out after 5 bites all 3 tummy aches DONT EAT HERE!

The fare here is on a par with other locale restaurants of this type (The Great Wall on S. Commercial comes to mind). However the rudness of the help is appauliing. I tried the Tin Tin Buffett when it first opened. Had an acceptable meal but was treated with surlyness and indiffernce. Made a note not to return. Some months later, I relented reasoning that my unfortunate experience there may not have been the norm. Sadly, I was mistaken. Never again. I cannot, in good consciense, recommend this place to anyone.

This is an above average suburban buffet offering a nice selection of options.
I stay away from fried foods and concentrate on seafood and vegetables. The dishes are freshly prepared with generous portions of shrimp, crab legs, squid, mussels, salmon, etc.
The flavors in each dish are destinctive from each other and don't ""blend together"" like at most chinese buffets. The vegetables seem fresh, crisp and well prepared.
Tin Tin is a decent quality restaurant and a very good value at $10.

Like all $10 (dinner price) Chinese buffets, few (in Salem, OR) have as many options as Tin Tin Buffet does. Its located along one of the busier areas on Lancaster Dr and features an array of Chinese-American (deep fried), authentic Chinese, sushi, fruits / deserts, and Mongolian grill. I am quite impressed with their mongolian grill and sushi variety, which is consistently prepared well. The staff is friendly and attentive. After having dined here many times, it becomes an option for reasonably priced food of many varieties.
