I will never eat there again. I ordered several meals to go last week and when I got home with all of it I was extremely disappointed. I spent $56 for dried out, chewy "brisket" and "pulled pork". The macaroni and cheese was also dried out and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were gluey and nasty.I'm a southern girl and I love bbq. I have eaten at Adam's Ribs before and it was good. This, however, was horrible!

Adam's Ribs is expensive, poor quality and the restaurant is dirty. I don't even know how they stay in business. In addition, my waitress was very rude and it took 15 minutes to get my dry, old tasting food to me when only one other person was in the restaurant. Horrible experience. I won't be coming back! I should have known that something was up when it was lunch and no one else was there, but I gave it a chance.
Take my advice, walk a block down the street and go to the Ram Pub and Grill. Great prices and good food. Staff is great also.

Where do I begin? Well first of all, you would think $17.00 would buy you more than 2 beef ribs and a dry sausage, but you would be wrong if you eat at Adam’s. With that being said, I thought I would eat the food and not come back, easy enough right? Wrong! Two bites into my dry odd tasting ribs I pulled out a long piece of hair (yes human hair). Pretty gross right? Anyway, I pulled it out and continued to eat (I did not want to ruin my dates salad). Two bites later I pulled out another hair. By this time my date had noticed and stopped eating her salad; she told me to just take it back. At that point in time I walked over to the counter and set my plate on the counter. The waitress walked over to me (in slow motion) and I asked her if they served any food that did not come with “deep fried hair.” She looked perplexed, so I showed her the pieces of hair in my napkin. She then stood there for a second (not apologetic mind you) and said ok. I then said I just want my money back. She then stood back like a spoiled teenage girl and said: “I will give you your money back, but you don’t have to be rude” (while rolling her eyes and sighing). I was shocked, I was not rude to this point, but was getting there. At that point I walked back up to the counter and asked her if she would like me to bus her tables for her.
I thought I would get my money back and move on to a more professional atmosphere. Little did I know what was going to happen next? This waitress (term used loosely) yelled out and said “Daddy!” Yes you heard it right, my rude waitress was Adam’s little girl. He came over and said what is wrong? I explained to him that I had multiple pieces of hair in one rib and I wanted my money back. This is when it really got bizarre. His daughter came back to the register and started balling! Yes I said it, balling like a child. She said, he was rude; and Adam said “well I don’t doubt that!” Can you believe it? He said this right in front of me while his daughter was crying. At this point I took my money and walked back to me table. My date had heard all of this and decided to put her food down and leave.
I should have told Adam that my company was considering hiring his catering service for our spring event, but he will notice when he doesn’t get that contract. All in all this was the one of the worst lunches I have ever had. Adam’s has incredibly rude service, worse food, and poor attitudes. At Adam’s, the customer is always wrong. Don’t take my word for it though, eat there and see for yourself. In this day and age a thriving company needs to have good food, service and reliability. Adam’s had none of this!
FYI, any reviews praising this place has got to be by the owners. There food is horrible and the atmosphere is even worse. I hope for the daughter’s sake “daddy” keeps this place open, because she was too funny and would not make it for a second in the real world. I have never seen a waitress cry. Trust me however, it was very funny…
Oh yeah, if there was a setting for negative stars I have have chosen that; but one is as low as you can go!

""Adams Rib"". Think back to an episode of M.A.S.H . where Hawkeye is trying to get ribs from this place called Adams Rib in Chicago. I accidently found this place and like the MASH episode is next to the train tracks in downtown Salem, Oregon.
You immediately smell the smoke and know you are home. The sevice is very mellow, order as you walk in nothing pretentous about it. The pulled pork is tender, moist and loaded with flavor. Probably the best meat on the menu. The babyback ribs were good but as I said the pulled pork is where it's at. The smoked turkey was good as well. Their sauces are from mild to spicy with a heferweizen and Jack Daniels variety thrown in for good measure. The piquito beans are excellent as a side. Their cole slaw though not to my liking is traditional NC barbeque with a vinegar base.
Overall a very good BBQ restaurant. Definitely worth the trip down from Portland . I did have to ask the owner if he got the name from the TV show M.A.S.H. He told me no, his name coincidentally is Adams
I ordered a fulIslab of ribs and the first problem had was I had to to cut a slab off i've never had to use a knife when I've eaten ribs, the second problem was texture it was tough not tender like you expect ribs to be and bland without any flavor even though it was coated in a dry rub that looked like it had been coated on after it was cooked. They are the exact opposite of what expect with bbq,t didn't have that low and slow tender taste, The sides I ordered where also awful.the mac and cheese had an odd taste that I can't describe but and my friend that ordered too can vouch for me was to say the least disgusting, I would have given this restaurant 0 stars but they did have good hush puppies and cornbread not the best but good. I by far think this is the worst 22.20 I've spent. Not recommended by any stretch of the imagination
I went to Adams ribs today and bought their 1/3 rate err slab of pork ribs which include 2 sides and corn bread or Texas toast. i chose the hush puppies and cheesy garlic mashed potatoes as my sides and the corn bread. I got take out and returned to my apartment. When I arrived my friend and I proceeded to eat our meals. First off, the Cheesy garlic mashed potatoes are awful. They were unsalted and over loaded with garlic. The Hush puppies were actually quite delicious, they are filled with what I believe to be onions, and perhaps okra. The corn bread muffin was mediocre but good none the less. Now to the ribs. I have literally been to Sizzler and had better ribs than these. First off they are so tough that I had to get a serrated steak knife from my kitchen. They had very little flavor and quite honestly reminded me of an over cooked pork chop but without the delicious juices from a pork chop. On top of that I paid 12.75 for this bland over cooked mess and came out only enjoying my Strawberry lemonade and the hush puppies.
This honestly could have been a bad day for them but their food made the day even worse for me.
Hope this review helped.
