Always giving me great advice on my pool. The check my water at no charge. Baquacil is awesome stuff keeping my water crystal clear all summer long. Love it everyday. Now they will help me winterize my pool. I am confident I will get the the same great advice as I always get. Recommend these guys if you have pool.
Happen to stumble on this, and have been using Biogurd chems for 12 years and find them to be superior. Called the factory a few times for tech info…
I have done business with Emerald Pools for some years. I considered them a reputable business but my recent experience has changed that. I contacted the Service Department regarding painting my rather small indoor pool. The manager gave me some quotes I thought to be very high. I tried to negotiate a lower price but the manager insisted that it would take 36 hours of labor and 8 gallons of paint. I found the same paint online for $58 a gallon delivered but Emerald charged nearly twice that (and they charged for 8 but used only 5 1/2 gallons). The 36 hours of labor they billed me for would have come close to $90 dollars per hour. Only one worker was experienced and the other two used were totally inexperienced in taping and painting. The issue I have is that the total on the job hours I registered was 11, making the cost for labor about $290 per hour! Even if we consider load up and travel time the number of hours might come to 15 hours and the cost would be $215 per hour. Even if we include the cost of the Service Manager and generously add three hours, the total hours involved in the project would come to 1/2 of the 36 hours I was billed for. There is something very dishonest about a company that can bill for 36 hours and actually perform only 18 hours of labor. I will not recommend Emerald Outdoor Living to anyone nor will I ever do business with them again.
I had hot stuff spas and pools come to my home as my pump wasn't working. They told me I needed a whole new panel for 600 bucks plus there 72 dollar estimate fee. I gave it to Blackhawk from Falls City and they took my pump out and fixed it for $248. Not only that they told me taht the pump wouldn't even turn on. When my husband came home from work he plugged it in on the side and the pump did work just not properly. They are rip offs and shouldn't be in bussiness. Tried to get my $72 back but no go. Wouldn't even discuss it.
