Overall
Auto Presale Inspection Fails to Catch Costly Problems

Adam seems friendly forthright and upfront but a pre-purchase appraisal of a used car for me failed to turn up numerous, significant problems he missed. There were only 2 instead of the 4 catalytic converters, the front frame members were so rusted the front sway bars could pull loose, the instrument cluster and the climate control were both missing part of their displays. I needed Adam's expert advise since I was buying (unwisely) a car unseen except for photos. I specifically asked about rust since it was a Boston car. He said there was no significant rust. This was far from the case. This was too bad because the shop seems to be nice people but it's hard to completely trust when something goes so far amiss and costs me thousands of dollars. If you are local and can manage the process I'm sure they can do wonderful work.
